I went to my local gas station 1 mile away...saw $1.96 for regular when i pulled up their super was $.40 more so i decided to go across the road to the other station to see if it was cheaper and as i was approaching the exit someone tried to back over me...Some guy (just like in all motorcycle accidents said he did not see me) in a GMC 2500 pickup backed over the front of my Firebolt and knock me and the bike on our a$$es.

I'm fine but the bike has minor damage all over the front however the shift lever hit the primary cover and it is leaking.

I'm not happy!!!

6 months old and only 2500 miles brand new helmet took a shot too.

Glad to hear you're ok.

Sucks about the bike & helmet, but @ least they can be fixed/replaced.

Doh!

I took my first ride of the year this morning...have to be 'extra' careful since people 'don't expect to see bikes' out on the road when it's this cold out.

...like that's some excuse to not @#$%ing LOOK and PAY ATTENTION.

Crap! Hate to hear that paw- I just did 170 miles with a buddy trailing me on his Blackbird:

From Mur-Vil to Tellico PLains, to Reliance, thru Greasy Creek and Ducktown, then north again thru Turtletown, and back again to finish the loop to Tellico Plains again.

Left the house, gas station down the street at 9:20, back home with beer in hand at 2pm.

Might get out and ride to the new Tallassee store, see who else got lucky today and rode.

Fix that bike and ride in for a visit! I just lernt some great roads again once over.

Can't wait to run that route again soon!

What really sucks, is this happened in a parking lot!!!

I can't get the accident report fo 14 days and by the time all the work is done. I figure to be without my bike for about 4 to 6 weeks.

sorry to hear that paw. especially with just getting a bike again. a parking lot is where i got hit the worse back when i was in the navy. even down here when riding is year round, it doesn't matter. there are stupid people in this world and it's just a matter of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. had to take the bike to work these past couple days and i got pulled in front of a couple of times and tried to get into my lane with me there a few times. it's a 50 mile round trip and i'm just glad that i'm not working in tampa and i go the other way to work. be safe and good luck.

I have been sneaking out all winter on the Cyclone, but today was the first day it was warm enough to take out my daughter. I drove the route ahead of time to make sure it was all clear and then went out with her for a good 20 min.

It did us both good.

At 8 1/2 she is brainwashed, and she's already planning her first bike purchase.

Your story made me nervous though. No matter how hard you watch, sometimes you never even see it coming.

Bill

I hate that excuse I DIDN'T SEE YOU.
My f'in arse!! I had a girl in a audi Run me and my G friend off the road, Luckily low speed but still off the road. I just came back up between her and curb and kicked the biggest dent in here door that i could, And then my girlfriend kicked off the mirror, Followed by 2 fingers from each of us!!

The worst people are the one's that when you honk they don't go back into there lane and just keep coming over into your lane and give you the shoulder shrug!

Last time this happened it was an older couple and the old guy says oh you guy's are hard to see, And i replied so what if you had killed me. And his wife say's sorry for the husband.

I said you are a murderer You just haven't killed anyone yet!

was out on the bike with the wife today coming back from sarasota through bradenton and sure enough it happened again, but this time there were two cars that pulled out in front of me at the same time and the one couldn't figure out what lane to get into and didn't even try to speed up. i really hate ignorant stupid people
