Following along the "floating Buell" thread, I've rehashed this from previous years. They have some great new video. All I can say is that these guys are NUTS!!! Iceroadracing.net Maybe next year I'll fire up the S1W for some winter laps. There's nothing better to do up here after the football season |

I still have a couple thousand "ice getters" from my old ice racing oval track days. Now I know what to do with them. |

I used to ride an IT250 around in the winter in Alaska with no studs at all... It's a wonder I didn't kill myself. Used to head down Hollywood road in fifth at WOT on glare ice that had developed ruts due to the studs the cars use. I always figured that if I went down nothing would catch and I would just have to walk back to my bike (Which admittedly could have been a VERY long walk). Too bad I'm not so invincible any more... |

WOWI know its winter and I can't ride the XB but...... Used to icerace a quad (20+ years ago) and think I still have the boots with the "claw" marks from another quads studded wheel "touching" my boot! But road bikes!! Must be the cabin fever like when you go to Daytona in March.......... |
