Just about 12 months too late to save his popularity in Green Bay. I don't ever need to hear that guy's name again.

I wonder if he is going to call around to ask if anybody wants the Jets play-book like he did to us.

What a tool.

I hope the people who call themselves "fans" of a particular team or player FINALLY realize that THEY are the real "tools" here.

Frab or whatever his name is - is as loyal to a town or team as the (your town name here) Raiders. Thinking anything else is only delusional. I know NONE of my WI family is selling their stock.

Packers?

Support AA, AAA ball, watch REAL PEOPLE playing - have some cheap and GOOD fun - and not support these hyper-over-paid celebrity/athletes... though in the case of the *Baseball home-run *record compared to the actual RECORD - the debate gets tiring.

Good riddance to him! With living so close to and working out of Green Bay, I'm so sick of hearing about Brett Favre. I wish him the best and hopefully Packer management and him can mend whatever bridges that were burned.

I get into the Packer arguments with Family every time I go out to Milwaukee.

If LA ever had a football team, I can't remember one. I might feel different but the LA Jailbirds (forgettable) and before them, the Anaheim Lambs (now in Saint Louis) - have soured us here on pro football.

If ya'll dont like Favre, send him to Chicago. We would be happy to have a QB that kinda knows what the heck is happening on the field. Even if it's for 1 season! Yes, I'm a flatlander living in cheesehead land (flathead?!)!

In Chicago, we get rid of our best players after a year or two. Then we keep the crappy ones. Favre would fit right in!

That was Favre's reaction after throwing a pick late in the 4th to seal Elway's 1st Superbowl win.

Anyways sorry for the hijack.
Favre's a great QB too.. I just think it's more intriguing when a player leaves you wondering if he could have accomplished more.

Actually that pass was incomplete at the feet of chewy.

Dont forget, Elway lost more superbowls than Favre.

Favre holds every individual statistical record possible over Elway. (save the two superbowl victories)

The 98 superbowl goes WAY overlooked in peoples lists of great games. That game came down to the last play, just like this years superbowl, and it had the Elway helicopter in it! That was a great game.

Packers future=Aaron Rodgers.

Farve was great, but tarnished his career by playing one last mediocre season.

Mediocre???? Dude the team was in the tanks before he went there. The only thing that's tarnished was the fact that he went to NY. Its simple.... the guy has done nothing else but Football all his life and yes just like other's have to. But he has had a career like no other on Football. And for that it is very hard for him to let go. If thats his flaw I can look past it. I do believe hes probably punished his body alot more just playing the last 2 or 3 season's because he couldn't let go.

"Farve was great, but tarnished his career by playing one last mediocre season."

He tarnished it before even putting on the Jets uniform. All the crap that led up to the last season is what sealed that fate.

In 20 years nobody is going to remember Ted Thompson or Mike McCarthy, they will remember Favre and what happened here. I think it was both sides at fault, but who cares about Ted Thompson?

Favre played the last month of the season with a torn biceps in his throwing arm. The Jets were 8-3 up till that point, and Favre was having a great statistical season. He just got old, old to the point where his body couldnt finish a full season, same that happened with the packers in 07. Great start, just ran out of gas.

Hey, just remember, the smart ones get the hell outta that state!!!! After having season tix for the Bears, I now HATE driving to Chicago. The traffic is horrendous, and IL has NO agenda to fix any roads. That, and in Lake Co. a 2 bedroom apt. will run $800-1000 a month. I guess I'm just more of a country type of guy. I'll visit the city, I just cant live there.
