My wife and I are visiting family on the east coast and might sneak away to New York City for a day. What are some must do's?

For a day? Times Square, Fifth ave from 34th st up to Rockefeller Center then Central Park. There is a lot of goodies included in those suggestions but there is no real right answer for your question. It is just bigger then all of us! Enjoy your visit.

Doesn't Court own a restaurant or have a large stake in one?

Pier 17 ( south street seaport). Rockafella center Times square Empire state building the ferry to statue of liberty and Ellis Island and every pub you can find Central park the circle line and the intrepid mueseum, meuseum of natural history and liberty science center in JC. if that isn't enough there is always the art galleries and Broadway or a rangers game or a nicks game. but thats just off the top of my head did I mention the the great Irish pubs to be found throughout the town . also don't miss St. Patricks cathederal and battery park 24/7 that city really never sleeps

There's this bar, something along the lines of "The Turtle," rings a bell. But I have not a clue...Went there in uniform, well, stumbled there...Walked in, and it looked like a smallish sized bar, skinny but deep (that's what she said right, I know)...

Then, this big black guy comes over and says follow me...Opens up a door that looked like the wall and said, "Welcome to Heaven."

There was about 20 girls, to every 1 guy. It was nothing short of amazing. The last thing I remember, was opening my eyes and seeing a hot ass girl making out with me on the couch upstairs. Don't remember much after that...}

There are some great Italian restaurants on Mulberry Street in Little Italy. Don't miss the Papaya Hot Dogs on (I think) 7th Ave. Don't eat the kabobs from the street carts. Don't ask me how I know that one. You can't win at three card monty. And most important, some soft words whispered in wifeys ear on top of the Empire State Building will get you far.

Eat pizza and walk around!

Tavern on the Green cool if its just your wife... You'll need to make a reservation for lunch or dinner..

I'm up once or twice a year and we pretty much do the same things now...

One thing I recommend is just taking your time to take it in.. Don't try to do every thing...

Stay away from the Magnolia bakery at least the one down town..

kidding just a bag experience..

I don't know about the Magnolia bakery, but there are some GREAT Italian bakeries on 181 street near Arthur ave. in the Bronx. Well worth the trip.

By all means hook up with Court. But under no circumstances should you let him drive you around in his truck, unless you enjoy contact parallel parking and contraflow lanes on the sidewalk!
