I am looking for an out of print CD from Jerry Reed (the country guy).

The album is " Jerry Reed Explores Guitar Country, RCA, 1969"

It was released on CD in the late 90's and since been discontinued.

Amazon has a used copy for ~$185. More than I can justify. Even ebay doesn't have it.
http://www.amazon.com/Alabama-Jerry-Explores-Guita r-Country/dp/B00004TEVD/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=music &qid=1233628250&sr=1-1

I can get it from iTunes/Amazon download, but I do not want a compressed copy.

If anyone has this CD let me know. I only need to borrow it for a few hours. We can work out a shipping arrangement. }

FYI I am not trying to steal the music. If I can borrow a real copy, I will gladly download it from itunes to support the artist.

I can get the album on itunes...

I just want an uncompressed version. By the recent prices for the used CD versions, I am not alone.

Even the CD trading sites do not have any copies. : (

That was 2 LPs recorded on 1 CD.
You may be able to find the original single LPs on vinyl or cassette.

Here's one:

Go to bjunkie.com. It doesn't show that exact song, but it has a file with 17 albums from 67-74 and another file with 15 albums from 75-84. You will need the program Bitlord to download them if they have what you want.

Do you have any country music radio stations near you? If they have the CD, and you show them that you've bought the music on iTunes, they might let you rip it at a higher quality from their CD. My wife was a DJ at a station in Louisiana and they had that CD.

By the way, even if you buy it from iTunes, you're not supporting that particular artist anymore. Maybe whoever inherited his estate, but not Jerry Reed himself...
