I would have to say that it was the best concert I have seen in a very long time.

Sure, Angus Young is a little more wrinkly. Yeah, Brian Jones has put on a few extra pounds. No doubt that Malcolm looks more like the Crypt Keeper than a rocker. When they were on stage, though, the years didn't matter. The music was just as good as I remembered.

Even better.

It was as if I had entered a time machine when I entered the building. In that place, the sold out crowd wasn't comprised of the mother of three or the accountant father. Every single person heard the soundtrack of their misspent youth and remembered.

Bless you Angus, Brian and crew. For a few hours tonight, I was 16 again.

I never think I'm old until I realize how old I am. A/C-D/C is one of the best.

NICE!! My first concert was AC/DC back in the mid 90's. I was 16. Got loaded before the concert. Once inside, on the first song I lit up a joint, I was young, most of us have been there. Got so tore up that I became sick. Throwing up in the bathroom etc... A security guard then found me and pulled me out of the bathroom and had me sit at this table. He asked for my ticket stub so he could get one of my buddies that I was with. I thought I was going to get in trouble, so I bolt out the Bradley Center and went to my car where I slept it off in my car until the concert was over. Those were the days, yeah right : ). I did get to hear them through the bathroom wall though, ha.

The first concert I saw was Ratt in 1985. I went with my best friend (and his dad).

I saw AC\DC in 1988 for $20, I couldn't see paying $140 for the cheap seats in Cincinnati this year. They did put on the best floor show I've seen to date though. It was the heat seeker tour where Angus busted out of a rocket as it came through the floor.

We discussed last night that Angus was a one of a kind showman. There may be other great guitarists, but there are VERY few that put on the show that Angus does.

They don't move as well as they used to, but only slightly so. The music hasn't changed a bit.

There were a lot of father/son parties in the crowd.

I saw them on January 11th, they were great.

They were my first concert in 1983 with Fastway opening. It was great to see them again, my 4th time.

So THAT'S why all those people were running around with AC/DC flashing horns on their heads!! And way too many folks on Broad St.
We were wondering.

You saw Ratt live? You're getting old : )

I saw Led Zeppelin July 3rd 1980 in Mannheim Germany -- I must've had a really good time, but honestly it's a bit of a blur.

TISM used to dress as mummys in the 80's - can't find one - and they sing about Bonn too.

Probably not work safe.

I had the pleasure of seeing AC/DC at Monsters of Rock, Donnington Park, England in 1991. That was the concert that was recorded and released as a multi disk set. Great show! The line up was Black Crowes, Queensryche, Motley Crue, Metallica and AC/DC! That wasalso the day that Metallica debuted Enter Sandman to the world! Epic show, one that I won't forget.

I had tickets to see them in Huntington, WV in ~1983 but unfortunately they canceled. Never had another opportunity since then.

Angus is still one of my favorite guitarists.

I hear ya. I work in an office where I'd estimate only 10% of the employees have ever heard of Led Zeppelin and not a one of them recognizes the name Bon Scott. Seriously. One of my fellow drones has a framed Pink Floyd album on his wall. Every day he gets questions about it. Some don't know who Pink Floyd is, some wonder why the "disc" cover is so large. Excuse me while I go find some whippersnapper to open my bottle of Geritol for me now.

Bon Scott rules (or did anyway) BJ is good but he aint no Bon. I can't remember who I saw them with. Either time ! I do know that I had tickets to the Led Zep show that was cancelled do to the death of a different JB. I bet they would be worth 6 or 7 bucks on Ebay nowadays.

AC/DC is my all time favorite.

Got a some what local cover band out here.
They're called AC/D-SHE
It's an all women band and they actually sound a lot like AC/DC.

I saw Hayseed Dixie at a hole-in-the-wall club several years ago. AC/DC bluegrass style, that was an experience. They've since put out more music and aren't solely AC/DC but they do put on a good show.

Lately (last 10 yrs. anyway) I've been going to a lot of 80's hair metal bands shows in small clubs. Someone I would've paid $20 bucks for back then and sat way back lower arena or upper and now I can stand 10 feet from them for $5. Awesome. So far I've seen Ratt, Quiet Riot, Twisted Sister and Cinderella on the cheap.
Oh, and Drivin'and Cryin' but they never made it that big.

I've been thinking of compiling a list of all the bands I've seen before I forget some of them. Some I'd like to forget (I actually saw Milli Vanilli once)oh well, live and learn.

I have saved every concert, sports event, car show, motorcycle show, ticket stubs since I can ever remember. Im in the process of making them into a couple of posterboards to hang on my garage wall. Kudos on the cheap hair bands! As far as the tickets go.........I look at them, and dont remember a few (or maybe bits and pieces). Cheers

...and I thought I was the only one keeping all my ticket stubs. I think I have all the concerts, events and most movies that I've gone to. Some of the early ones even got laminated when I got a small laminating machine from someone.

My first intro to AC/DC was 1977 I believe opening for Kiss and then later that year or early '78 opening for Rush.
I never heard anything like Bon before and nothing since!
Still miss the original Aussie bad boy but happy that the rest of the boys are still rocking!

Bon Scott rules (or did anyway) BJ is good but he aint no Bon.

AGREED! BJ does get credit for being one hell of a great guy, but he don't sound like Bon. BJ always sounds like he's pinching a loaf. Bon sounded natural, like he got punched in the throat during his prison stint and that's just how he sang and talked without trying.

BTW, I saw Metallica last week and it was KILLER. I have had no interest in seeing them since the 80's because their music has bored me, but this new album, DM, is great and the songs were excellent in concert. They even broke out Fight Fire w/ Fire. It friggin killed. Kirk is on his game big time and now they have a real bass player contributing to the songs again. It ruled.
