The cost of the race prep is what discourages me. I spend a lot on this hobby between the equipment and the trips.

If I started dropping close to a grand for a weekend of racing I think my missus what get a little fed up (especially if I crashed and got hurt).

from what im reading, there really is no race prep required for this. if it passes

Do I need to do any special prep work on my bike to race?
All riders participating in the race must comply with the track day minimum requirements. Other than that, there is nothing else special you have to do to be able to race in the Cup series.

and it really doesnt take alot to meet the track day requirements. although it does take a bit more to meet theres then it does for an inside pass day.

I was thinking more of me and the gear. I'm gettin kind of old for a day of hard riding.

If I just did the track day and not the race I wouldn't need an expensive suit.
