My 1970 Triumph TR6R 650 "Tiger"
vs.
1965 Dodge Monaco w/ 383 CBB, 727 trans, 8 3/4 rear, Richard Petty Blue.... No damaging body cancer, no trunk floor, fuel cell was going to reside there. Car needed head gaskets, engine top torn down, owner lost interest. Long tube headers extra parts and trim also.

My uncle says no go, bike is worth more than the car, So I'm looking for opinions/advice/knowledge. Most resonable idea has been sell bike for $1500 and buy car for $1k, use spare change to finish my garage. And no straight up trade.

screw that, go for the chester van!

OT, Mopars are weird and can be very expensive to build. as well as it being hard to find parts for them.

Never get rid of a bike, no matter what. It can never be replaced. TR6R's are asking $4 to $6k on eBay for decent ones.I wish I had every bike back that I sold or traded...........doesn't cost nothing to park them in a row in the basement.......and if you get the urge, wake them up and go for a ride. I have saved searches on eBay....just in case one of my old scooters comes up. I got one bike back after 20 years of absence. It was DOA when I got it back, but it's mine again........

Skip the car & keep the bike.

However, I'd go after "THE VAN" - come on........it's got cragars on all four corners and looks like copper colored paint.......it doesn't get anymore 70's than that!

You can put lip stick on the pig, but it will still be a lead sled 65 Monaco.

Now the TR6 is an instant classic.

I know what my choice would be.

The person who wants your bike knows the value of both also. Keep the bike, it is an investment, the lead sled is scrap metal.

I sold one of those to buy my buell. I would not trade or sell the bike for that car

If the Monaco was all orig' matching numbers maybe, but it's been cut about & modded, so it's worth only the value of it's parts.

I'd have the Monaco in a heartbeat myself, but then I love old Mopars, & would only keep a Trumpet long enough to sell it if somebody gave me one!

Anyone got a nice set of Mopar 5 stud 15x7 wheels?
My cheapo chromed steels are starting to look a bit tatty.

383/727/8.75 rear? SIMPLE to find parts. I'm a Mopar guy myself, still have my 360/727/8.75" Satellite wagon (12 second street car) and LOVE it. The Monaco looks pretty nice, and no cancer is a plus.

For the record, the ad says "NEEDS total resto", not HAS total resto.

Me, I love having a car I can sit on the radiator, foot on each valve cover, and give it a tuneup. But to each his own. Don't sweat powertrain parts availability though, it's pretty straightforward stuff in there. If it was a 318 wideblock, or a 361...I'd be concerned, but a 383? Simple stuff. 727s were put in just about EVERYthing, all the way into the early 90s, and the 8.75 is pretty bulletproof. Up to you, though, if you want to swap a bike for a car...tough call.
