... Because you just have no idea if you are ever going to see them again when they walk out the door.

Life has this way of changing, drastically, without notice.

A co-worker lost his 16 year old daughter in an auto accident yesterday. Worse than just loosing her, he and his wife were on the scene as her car burst into flames. Witnesses tried to get her out of the car, but they couldn't free her. They had to witness their daughter's death.

I lost my son when he was 11 months old... but I just cannot even come close to imagining the pain that they are going through having seen what they did.

My heart is broken for this family.

Hug your Moms, Dads, Sisters, Brothers, Kids, ... all of your loved ones. And let them know that you love them every single day.

Yeesh, that's horrible.

Prayers go out to these folks, and Godspeed to some kind of healing- I've no idea what that would take.

We just lost one of our sales managers to cancer this month- yet another horrible way to go.

Do what you can Raty- keep pluggin away at comforting them however you can.

From what I understand, they all take the same route to work (the daughter worked as a baby sitter while she home schooled, and was on her way there).
She survived the initial accident, and I believe she called her parents to tell them she was in an accident. They were on their way into work as well, on the same road.

DAM$ I couldn't imagine. I have been through some things in my life that many people wouldn't be able to handle, but I don't think I could handle that.

No parent should have to outlive their children. I am so indescribably saddened by this.

How do you go on after something like that? I have no clue.

The older I get, the more emotional I get and the more I love people. Anybody - finally figuring it out that its not about me, but about everybody else.

It really changes so much. One of our good friends lost a 16yr-old daughter 2 years ago just down the street from their house. The mother heard sirens so she called her daughter and got no answer so she walked down the street to see what was going on....

It has changed how we get together so much. It is hard to talk about our kids when we know they lost one of theirs. Their older daughter wasn't as ambitious and she is greatly affected too.

I always think how terrible it would be to have a bad argument with a family memebr then have them go out and die right away. I am sure the guilt would be unbearable.

Blake and I found out Tuesday of this week that a mutual friend, father of two little girls, and motorcyclist took his life. We are still in shock.
