i've tried to tell my kids to break the cycle but now i'll be a grandfather around the end of april. at least it's not a teen pregnancy and she'll be a good parent so i can only hope that everything goes good. |

It would eliminate the stupid teen pregnancies caused by not using condoms.
I would like to have a basic set of tests.
1. can you balance a check book?
2. read "Green eggs and ham" or any other children book out loud?
3. Write 1 sentience why you want to have a child.
4. Psychiatric exam (checking for child abuse issues)
5. If failed, attend counseling before receiving the anti-birth control pills. |

.... Yep they should have to get a license to breed. Its a new revenue stream for the government, and hopefully more effective than the DMV; but not likely. |

I have always said we need a tax on children.
Make the little crumb snatchers REALLY expensive, and people will not have 8 of them (or an addition 6 to begin with).
Either-way there are entirely too many breeders in the world BREATHING MY AIR!!! |

Just thinking about the whole thing is kinda bizarre. She needed about 4 dozen medical personnel to decant the brood. What did the whole thing cost? Probably too soon to tell, as all of them are in the preemie wing, costing major $$$ to help them survive.
Don't think I'm pushing any ill will, but for heaven's sake we need to reexamine our priorites when it comes to this stuff.
We idolize those who create a brood, but little attention or respect is given those who care for orphans, abused or neglected kids.
Also- I'm not for any more guvmint meddling either, but the choice to procreate really should be taken more seriously by more folks. |
