To me it looks like a motorcycle from a low budget science fiction movie.

Still that idea of the fuel in a frame is a great one. Wonder why no one ever though of that before? /sarcasm off

I'd take one. Rigid and all.

Would be nice if there were a little more flex in the seat though.

I like the simplicity of it.

I'm in the process of building something very similar. Buell front forks, wheels, brakes etc. Super skinny bike, TC88 H-D motor. I'll upload pictures in the next couple of weeks as progress is being made.
Stay tuned.

the kit costs about 23K with H-D motor and trans.... I could have a XL StreetTracker, A XB Track bike and a DRZ 400, and still have some left over change... nope, no thanks.

Did I read the article right, 469 lb bike, 1731 cc, 97 hp, and 113 ft lb of torque. Doesn't the xb9 come close to these numbers with only 984 cc's? If the author wants to know what it feels like to launch a bike with those numbers he's welcome to ride my firebolt.

Look at how long the stroke is. It'll launch a little harder with the 113ft lbs of torque.

What I'm building won't be anything near 23k
I've acquired a wadded up H-D, so I had a motor tranny sitting here doing absolutely nothing. I also had a set of XB wheels laying around. So I just ordered the front end, and I'm putting it together with a Redneck engineering frame. She won't be fast, she won't be comfortable, but she will be pretty and very cool.
Ain't imagination a wonderful thing?

Looks you might be able to unbolt the hard tail and put on a swing arm and tail section with shocks? Hummmm.

I am just glad someone is doing something like this as was mentioned above. You gotta give Victory some credit. Pretty cool.

I don't like the exhaust, nor the seat, nor the headlight, nor the lack of tasteful fenders but,... I see a bike that could be modified to my tastes very easily. I like the hardtail. I've watched the videos posted on the site and looks like this is concept bike/design study only. I doubt you'd ever see the bike on the showroom floor.

I remember before Deal's Gap became the Dragon there was an gnarly old guy who owned the Tallassee General store. The locals called him Harley Charlie and he rode a hardtail Knucklehead. He had the reputation of dusting more than his fair share of sportbikes. I never seen an old guy ride quite like him but he had no problem riding a hardtail and kickin' major butt through the corners. I'd have liked to seen him and Ferris doing a little one-on-one but sadly Harley Charlie died before Ferris made his first trip there.

I'd like to ride the Victory CORE just one time. It looks like a lot of fun.

Jim,
Reading that brought a smile to my face. I can hear you telling the story in my mind... I'll probably never ride like Harley Charlie, and I've got some ways to go to even get close to Ferris, but a little story like that is what this is all about.

And... I love that vic you have, and I do dig some of the things they are doing!

kudos to Victory.

the Core ain't for me, but any motorcycle is a good motorcycle (OCC's new Stealth Bummer excepted...), and their business model must be working pretty good to green-light a design exercise like this.

i like it. it's not me, but i do like it.

ride in peace, Harley Charlie.

Victory is making some really sweet looking bikes, and have been for 10 years now. Who here thought they would be able to say that?

Not me.
