WTH Sleeze? How did you do that? Must have been collectible? Somehow all my transactions work out the opposite. As a matter of fact I offered my almost brand new $400.00 car to a neighborhood kid for $225.00

Cap, Keep it in the doorway so that you don't do it again. I was in the Burry Buggy Club in the early 80s when I lived in England. I raced but never got real good at it. I had more fun playing than racing. Ran tracked vehicles, Truck, Buggy, Tractor-trailor, Motorcycle, even a 4 WD 44B made by Hyrobo. I could have bought a bike with what I tied up in them.

When I was younger I had a Traxxas Sledge Hammer and a Team Losi Junior T. I even studed up the tires on the Sledge Hammer for winters. The Junior T was my baby, I had that thing hauling azz.

About a year ago I tried getting into the nitro car hobby after seeing some running around at a county fair.

I got a Traxxas Jato 3.3 - one of the fastest out there. The thing had a top speed somewhere around 65 MPH. Not scale speed, real life speed. It was a lot of fun, but too expensive to keep running.

At those speeds, anything on the road surface you're running on will do a number on suspension parts.

If you're really into R/C cars you can jump from the 1/10th scale 3.3cc thumper, to a 1/4th scale V8.

Around $8000 for the motor, $13,000 for a complete car.

Many years back I raced dirt oval, elect 2WD truck, great fun it was! Would make a great indoor winter hobbie since the bike is parked for a few months. I don't see the R/C hobbie as a big thing in my hood, to bad. I also got into racing R/C Nitro boats, you want to talk expencive? Crazy fast too, my top boat would run over 60mph on 50% nitro. I had three very competive boats, won a district title and took third in state a race. Won many trophies but it was expencive. I could easly see my self getting back in to R/Cing.

i race toy cars for bowling trophies.

www.MARCCA.com

do a little searching, and find out if there's a track in your area. this will either give you a bunch of guys in the market for an R/C car, or it will give them a new racer.

an R/C car is fun on it's own, but if you find 40 or so like-minded individuals, racing them is where it's at!! after 15+ years of racing, it still amazes me how much adrenaline is involved with just standing in one place. it's not as much fun as a 19-yr old nympho that owns her own liquor store, but it makes the list of things to do when it's too cold to ride the Buell.

last couple of weeks, one of Team Losi's sponsored drivers has been coming out to the carpet track, and kickin everybody's butts. he got started with our club when he was about 8 years old, and was in town visiting his family. 10 years ago, i had to show him how to adjust a pinion gear, and explain to him what a "line" is. he paid me back last weekend by putting 3 laps on the field! (guess that's why he's sponsored, and i'm not)

I've got a Traxxas Revo at the moment, 2.5 frame with a 3.3 motor. It goes way faster than a sane person needs to drive a toy, spendy but loads of fun on a mx track.

Had my Traxxas T-Maxx running for all of 10 minutes when it lost control with the transmitter, plowed into my full size truck with it at top speed, truck i bought on ebay for 200 bones then suddenly had 300 in damage@!
