me and a buddy are on a road trip, currently in NE AZ. What are your recommendation for a wild and crazy new years, or just some thing out of the ordinary anywhere within a days drive. possibly vegas thanks

come down here to Phoenix, and party at Padre Murphys New Years bash.
Or better yet, go out to Tempe Town Lake and take part in the fiesta bowl, and it's related new years party at lakeside...

Vegas will be insane - always is on New Year's

Prescott and Jerome are a very interesting stop (I'm not local but Sunny is/was)

Prescott Brewing Company supposedly has a great NewYear shindig. Their beer is AWESOME. I brought a couple of litres of Raven Maniac back with me (seriously dark ale) Prescott Brewing (click)

Jerome is a really interesting mountain-side community - formerly mining, now artsy-fartsy.

Pretty countryside. Good riding.

If you get a chance head out to Monument Valley at night. Watch your speed though (and for drunks)

If it is a clear night the stars will light up the rock formations. Very surreal.
