Harbor Freight now has a cycle tire balancer in its inventory. The number is 98488.

Heavy steel construction(I mean heavy), good bearings(roller blade style) which roll real nice.

Only drawback imo is the steel rod that runs through the wheel. Could have been a little stouter.

Price is worth it though. Picked one up on sale for $40 (normal price is $60).

*no cheap plastic parts in this one!

Will it fit the rear with pulley?

I got my hubby a No-Mar tire balancer for Christmas. He has about 6 tires to change before spring. He was very excited. It cost $100

It had better! I do not for see any problems with that. States you have 12 inch working width.

The cones are steel with short steep ramps. Also says you can get a BMW adapter. Works with 15-37mm axles.

I will be doing a balance check tomorrow evening. I like to find the true heavy spot before the rubber band is applied.

The Marc Parnes didn't work with the Buell rear wheel width..so I simply made a longer new axle for it out of drill rod....

Just put on a new set of tires myself, but I balanced mine the fast EASY way. How you ask? Dyna Beads, just pour them in through the valve stems and tires are perfectly balanced through their life span. No costly stands/tools and no chance for errors. Did I mention NO unsightly wheel weights?

"I can't wait to hear the comments start flying about those dyna beads" .......Sure makes me wonder "HOW" those beads can find the light spot to settle into and all the planets align at the same time. Would a couple of ounces of lead shot do the same thing?

Take a look at this video.

I've been using them in both of my bikes this year.

Slaughter,

The wheel with pulley attached fit just fine. It leaves about an inch to spare on each side. That is from the cone to the roller. I used one of my PM rears for the fit test.
