Anyone shot one? They look like a fun little plinker. I ordered one yesterday. Can't wait for it to come in.

Looks like a 10/22 with an aimpoint.
I love that zebra wood stock!

I was looking at one locally. Need to get rid of the aimpoint, it should shoot more accurately than that fat red dot.

I hear its an excellent competition target shooter. I have a Mark 3 Rugar 22 lr. Its really picky what ammo I put in it. It likes the 22lr remington golden bullet 40 grain solid point HV. Try the HV loads before the standard loads. K

Can you use the bi-pod in a pistol competition? Looks like a fun little gun.

Ourdee, - I haven't bought a scope or red dot sight for it, yet. What would you suggest? Don't want to spend a lot.

I have put around 750 rnds through mine. Holds nice groupings out to 50 yds.

Fun little plinker. It gets lots of looks from all who see it. Will make a nice short range varmit killer.

Nice thing about it, is all those 10-22 goodies out there. Yes it is a 10-22 action and yes it is registered as a pistol. A little heavy on the nose to shoot one handed. Another nice feature is that the barrel is a full free floater.

Like all stock 10-22 actions. The trigger pull is rather heavy, easily curable item.

Mine is a keeper.

As far as scopes go..... You will want to be looking for a "pistol" scope. I have a cheap($100) 3-9x40. Yes, that is real cheap for a pistol scope.

What's the best red dot scope for a stock 10/22?

IMHO I would go with a decent "holo" style of sight. No tube, eye relief variable and both eyes open.

I don't personally like red dots. I find the dots are too big. The 1022 doesn't kick much. You could put a lepers on it and get away with it. It could just be me, but I would put a rifle scope on it. I wouldn't shoot it like a pistol. Pistol scopes are easier with lower power magnifications. I find that my rifle scopes are kept turned all the way up most of the time. I use a buckmark and a Ruger new model Single Six, both with open sights for .22 plinkin'. Don't have any scopes or dots on any of the pistols. Might put one on the .454 C I think it could shoot targets past 100 yds. easy.

I have 4X EER Leupold's on a couple of pistols and they work real well for off hand indoors competition with the parallax reset to 50'. Most guys don't like much more than 2X for indoors, but I love the 4X because it shows your "shake" more and makes you concentrate more on the shot. For outdoors,12X Leupold's work great for me, holding the pistol much like a rifle. I have a 12X on my JDJ TC Contender in 17 Remington. Has never bit me in the brow yet, but you can't take that aspect for granted.Off the bench, dimes are pretty safe at 150 yards, but pop cans on end are history......

Picked up my new Charger today. Put a couple of hundred shots through it. Around half of those sighting in the cheap NcStar 2-7 x 32 scope I bought today. It was a lot of fun. Only fired it with the bipod on the table top, but it was loads of fun. Plan to go back down to the range this weekend and would like to try it with the bipod removed in a standing mode.

I can see now that I need to buy a couple of larger 25 round magazines. All that re-loading of the stock 10 round magazines was tedious.

I got a little Remington .22 heavy barrel yellow jacket with 30 round clips for plinking, I also use the yellow jacket hollow point ammo in it.

Check it out!

Aeholton, Gotta belt on your Buell? Why don't you have a belt on your gun? I used to use Mitchell 50 round mags when I had a 1022. A BMF activator will fire it 4 times every turn. The Hellfire trigger system was fun too. It put a trigger in front of your finger so that it would fire when you pulled back and when you pushed forward. Sounded like it was full auto. That's a cool magazine. Might have to get one of those. Gotta wait for a month or two. I told the wife I would take it easy on the purchases for a while.

Went back to the range today. Took my wife with me and she really enjoyed shooting the charger. Looks like it could develop into a sport we can enjoy together.

My wife and I used to spend every Sunday at the range shooting before breakfast. She had a thigh holster. Guys at the range nicknamed her Thrill em and Kill em.
