It was a beautiful day in East Tennessee today. Temps went to around 70F most of the day. I dropped off a customer truck and had fifty miles to ride back home. So......I got back 125 miles later.

While riding around in the beautiful sunshine for some reason I was thinking about the "Blue Collar Comedy" guys. Jeff Foxworthy's definition; 'Adjustment'.....Honey, I just meant to go around the block! And a few of Bill Ingval's 'hear's your sign' things. And then I stop at a Wendy's as it got dark. I had to change my dark face-shield.

I had a sandwich and a drink, and because it was getting dark I got out my heated jacket before going in. There were two sweet older ladies sitting a couple of tables away who kept looking my way. Across from them were three Police Officers having their lunch break.

As I got up to leave one of the ladies sees the electric cable hanging out of my jacket and asks fairly loudly "is that a heated jacket? I see your wire hanging out!" I don't know why, but I said this in my best Ingval impression; "Nope....it's my bug zapper!" Under my breath I heard myself say "Here's your sign."

One of the officers spit a mouth-full of his drink all over the table he and the others were sitting at, and they all busted out laughing.

I hustled out side so I didn't have to face that woman again as I began laughing.

I know......I should be ashamed of myself.

Ahhh.......Another great day a the end of this suck-wind year. Should something like this be listed under "Why I love riding my Uly?"

Vern, you are a crack up! I think I need some of those bug zappers. We were supposed to have sunny and 70 today...instead we had cold, rain and fog. Glad you had a fun day.

Vern, you may be onto something. If you put a bug zapper grid on your jacket, you would kill anything that gets past the Big Ass Windshield and have a wonderful blue glow!

Quit playin with the seniors buddy.

Just around the block. I just need some saddle time.

Ever get that feeling that if you don't get on the bike and ride RIGHT NOW that someone is going to get hurt.

Not 'get their feelings hurt', I mean trip to the emergency room hurt.

I'm there. The family's looking at me like the dog does sometimes.

I got that same thing the other day. From my own family. I rode over and it was sprinkling a little. I walk in with my helmet and jacket.."are you riding in this weather?" I could deal with the "your a for riding in this weather" Coments but are you? I'm bringing siggns to the next gathering.

Ft_b, If I took a picture of my dog under a bed she would look exactly like yours. The only markings she has on her black hair is a little white streak on her chest and a little bit of white on three of her feet. Our Black Lab(I call it Blab) is the best dog we have ever had.

Nothing like a hug from the Blab when you've had another tough day at the market.

I don't really think I need a bug zapper! Good golly! At least when they hit and splatter I don't have to smell them cooking.

DD, next time you record a test ride video, work in the phrase "I pity the fool"

I have a hunch that phrase belted out with an Aussie charm will make you an instant internet celeb.
