Not this year. Our next trip will be MBVI. Gotta pick and choose this year. If things pick up around here, maybe we'll get there this summer and take the bike as well. We've talked about getting the bike to Cincy and riding with you all. | ||

Ask Neil (CCRyder) what a fool I proved myself to be after having met him in person for the first time this Summer after years of friendship via internet and email. | ||

Wow! I missed this train! There are so many conversations, I'm not sure what to talk about........ Censoring guns, (unless depictions of illegal activities are taking place) is downright unconstitutional. Censoring naked women isn't. Censoring a lady on a bathing suit who isn't posing in a provacative manner is dumb. Censoring a hooker with a thong bent over doggy-style is ruining the picture of a good bike. I say you should get girls with tasteful swimsuits, put a gun in their hand, and sit them on a bike. Voolah. That calender I would buy. | ||

Guns...a right. Another right is the first amendment dealing with free speech. In another thread a moderator states he'll "fight to the death" for the right for someone to wear a very offensive profanity laced shirt. That same Moderator WILL ban you for posting profanities HERE. I'm offended by blatant profanities.But 'ya gotta wonder...... Still loving coming to the Badweb though | ||

Still loving coming to the Badweb though The difference is BADWEB ISN'T AMERICA. It's a Blaketatorship. He could order me or anyone of the other custodians to "execute" you from the Badweb universe, and we'd do it. There are no free speech rights here. Everything is censored. WHAT gets posted here is at the whim and desire of the owner. All agreed to that "citizenship" when you clicked "I Agree" at registration. Everyone has the right to become a "citizen" or renounce your "citizenship" and move to another board of your choice. We hope you don't but it's your right. Outside of BW is the REAL world, ALL rights are present, and I WOULD fight to the death in defense of free speech. THAT is where what is and is not able to be "posted" is important. In other words... This is Blake's T-shirt. If he chooses to not wear a T-shirt that has profanity (or not let anyone write profanity on his t-shirt) he has that right. You have the right to not associate with Blake and/or his t-shirt if you can't accept the fact that he won't allow profanity to be written on it. Works for me. If I ever decide that I simply must include profanity in my writing I am free to not write on Blake's t-shirt  . I'm still slapping a "Kick Me" sticker on it though just cause I'm an ••••••• like that... Whew... Thank Blake for the little red dots of censorship . I almost got banned right there . sorry but the entertainment factor of these threads is ......... priceless +1 I couldn't have said it better myself. Managing a large department has taught me that there is no way to please every one all the time. The best anyone can do is please some of the people, some of the time. I appreciate the custodians and their efforts at keeping Badweb on track. This site is unique in the participation of owners and the factory. Though the factory does not respond directly, through people like Court and dealership employees, the factory does hear our opinions and sometimes even contacts us at home to help us get ready for the big trip. It is a truly special site that Blake and the custodians through the last eleven years should be proud of. The original question posted, if partial nudity is more offensive than guns? I love the fact that this question is put up from one of our neighbors to the north. Did anyone catch Robin Williams on Jay Leno last night. Speaking of Canadians, "It like a family living over a Biker Bar." I loved it. The funny thing is that many around the world do find it curious that we Americans allow our children to see violence but will not let them see nudity. The issue of offense to guns is a cultural issue. If you look at the urban centers of this country, you will find the home of gun control movements in this country. In such environments guns are either protection or a tool of violence. Growing up in suburbia, I never saw my father's hand guns. Even though my older brothers had bow and arrows and pellet guns, I was not allowed to have them. As a child I never saw the pistols. My older brothers told me the story of the last time they saw my father with one of his pistols, I was three months old. As an adult, my father and I went to a gun range and practiced together. No violence, no death, just a father and son event. I also found out that he was a crack shot. Moving out of suburbia to a small town I see why there is such a split in this country on guns. Here in North Carolina anyone can get a permit to carry a concealed weapon. Women apply for the permit more often than men. Unlike my home town of Cincinnati, no police department will stop me here for wearing a side arm or carrying a shot gun. Why such a difference? It is illegal to hunt anywhere in Hamilton County, the county that Cincinnati is in. It is unlawful to discharge a fire arm in the county. A good law there because the population density. Here in Pitt County, we have more square mileage and have about one tenth the population. Here it is not unusual to here someone in the woods behind the house firing a gun. Here I understand the saying, "An armed society is a polite society." Another facet of guns in small towns is that I have the opportunity to see sons and daughters going out hunting with their fathers, mothers, uncles and grand fathers. Guns in these households are no more deadly that a fishing pole. Hunting around here is a family tradition that has been going on for generations. To watch an eight year old boy get up at four in the morning to be with his father out in the woods is something that has really given me a real appreciation of our right to bare arms. If it is for protecting our homes, lands or just passing on a generations old tradition. I can not say the same thing about Fathers and Mothers taking sons and daughters to the strip club before they are of age. I can understand it for say a bachelor party where both off-spring and parent are of age, but not a father taking his eight year son to the strip club. I think there are laws against that. Now I will never forget the day I had my five year old daughter on my shoulders walking down the streets of Hamburg and looking up at a three story mural of a naked woman showing the whole city her poonaner. Talk about a cultural gap. So I understand the question but being in small town America, it makes perfect sense to me to keep nudity at a minimum here and let folks talk about guns.
