I also really liked the high bars on the CR, and I went back and forth between the two to try and decide if I liked them better than the clubmams, but I think for now I'll be keeping the stockers on there. I would like to try riding one with high bars to get a better idea, though.

Being my first time there, I wasn't disappointed. I did wish I saw booths for jardine, supertrapp and some other vendors. I watched a good seminar about a guy who came over from England, bought a $200 bike and rode it across the country. I just wish it was longer.

Cool stuff overall. I wish Triumph showed up.

Triumph never shows, they do Americade up in Lake George 1st week of june though demos are better than dry ridin anyday. The booths in IMS NY are 1500-1600 for a 10x10 with load in fees and parking it gets damn expensive to do imagine what the factories are laying out

I scored a Nolan N-103 helmet. With the combination of the show price, plus the MSF RiderCoach discount, it was almost what I'd pay from an internet site so I went for it. Might as well (and I saved myself the waiting). Got it in Corsa Red to match my Racing Red 1125R. With a red helmet to match my red bike and red Roadcrafter suit that oughtta be good for another 10, 15 mph on the top, and about .1 secs off each turn...

To me, the show seems to get worse each year. It seemed like a bad fleamarket unless you were in the center of a major manufacturers display.

Was Aprilia and Guzzi really there ? I was there Friday and Sunday and didn't see either.

C'mon Tim... I thought the show was better this year than last. The aisles were at least 4 feet wider this year since they moved the show to the upper level. Made it much easier to walk around even during high traffic times.

Plus it was the first time we participated in the "flea market."

Just playin'...

See you tomorrow with our crap. Pete

Next year I am going to try a different city's show and compare.

I hope I didn't screw you up by holding your stuff one more day. I had someone monitoring my email to see if you reached out. Don't want you to think I wasn't looking out for you.

Pete, Tim - Sorry I missed you guys on Friday. I was there 'till 5 or so. I saw both booths though. I gotta agree with Tim, It wasn't as good as last year. Aprilia & Guzzi were there but with fairly small displays. No MV. Looks like they won't be importing into the US this year.

The manufacturers displays were better all around this year, but the rest looked pretty much like a flea market and a poorly thrown together one at that. The Buell area had a lot of action compared to opening day last year which was very encouraging plus it was attended to by some very nice and attentive people. Believe it or not the coolest thing I observed was my 22 month olds next Birthday present....

I really hope that a production bike will soon have this fairing, and maybe some other things.

Eboos: If that fairing goes production, I hope it's in PLASTIC. I don't feel like spending MV Agusta type prices...

Court: My favorite version is the one at the track during Daytona Bike Week.

It was my first time at the NYC IMS and after the bad experience at the DC IMS(the Montreal bike show was bigger then DC) I was expecting something bigger then that in NYC since someone at the DC show told me the NY show was the one to go. Don't get me wrong I liked it but if I had done all that driving just for the show I would have been pissed off.
