On the news they say to tip the service people in your life that makes life easier for you. Yesterday I went to the store and bought 5 fully loaded sub sandwiches, 2 bottles of sparking cider, 40 choc. chip cookies, and 2 huge pepperoni cheese with crackers platters. I went up to the HD Store in Baltimore and asked the service writers if I could go back into the Mechanic shop, I asked the mechanics to gather around and I told them I have lunch and thank you for getting me and keeping me on the road this season. I did 3 services on the ULY, 10,000 miles this year, warranty work, new tires and modifications, on the X1 the engine gaskets had to be replaced so they did an engine tear down on it. The money I spent in service this year was a lot, but the shop sees the money, not the guys doing the work. The feeling I got just to buy them lunch and talk to them was priceless. They never saw lunch coming! K |

That's so cool of you to do. I love the fact that you took it to the service department. Lots of times the goodies end up in the front area of businesses and the back area is left out. |

Nice touch, you know they are going to remember your bike the next time through the shop. I keep my guy loaded with Red Bull and Mt Dew. If it werent for service, I never would have recovered from all my gravity mishaps this year. |

+1! Honorable behavior, we should all follow that example. Sure makes the world go round a little better! My boss really pulled out the stops this year- we did a customer appreciation party on Friday, then the annual Xmas staff party the next day. All in the face of everyone else you hear about pulling back or cancelling their holiday parties. Times are tuff, but good people like this, and you'ns, really do make the marble spin right... |
