Oh hell yes! The Solex with "backwards" hand controls--I rode a lot of those growing up. And plenty of Peugeot 103s and Mobylettes, too. 20mph feels pretty darned fast when you're ten years old! | ||

I finally found a Honda shop that will get the choppapoolooza together without racking me over the coals. She is all mocked up and painted. I will post pics. The XL just got paid off, the body kit is ordered and on the way. Seeing the XR1200 in person this weekend kicked me in the butt. I am convinced I can build it lighter, leaner, meaner and for less. The Buell Muell is in stand by, Looking for a cheap donor Blast, the dirt bike donor has new forks, new shocks and hand controls. So the scavanging is ready to begin. And the point Whizzer motor and the springer bike still need to be matted together. I am missing parts  somewherez the critical drive parts have gotten separated from the box o parts. | ||

The Derringer site specs. a Honda® built overhead valve 4-stroke engine. In the picture it sure looks like a 2 stroke to me. | ||

Mudbug, did you ever make it over to the Ridley booth to check out the whizzer in person? I instantly fell in love, except no one could explain if it could be made road legal. I know we talked about it at the show, but licensed/road legal is a must in my area, unless I want to create another electric bike. | ||

I talked to the rep . For the Ridley, they have light kits and everything. If you are driving it on the street underpower you will need a license... and if you are doing that, you might as well get the 70cc upgrade  PM me I have their contact info The Whizzer engine bay is soooo cluttered though, they have way too many electronics cables, wires and hooha on it. but it is road legal and DOT yadda yadda | ||
