According to MSN, the price for a barrel of Light Sweet Crude is $42.60 as of the end of trading today.
Last Friday evening, I filled my XT up and it cost me $7.65.

I just thought I'd share some good news.

I spilled gas all over my bike the other day, I left it running on autofill, I usually stop it at $22, but probably only needed like $8

If don't change our habits, by driving less or more efficiently, we will be back to where we were last summer sooner than we would like to think.

Wonder when the windfall loss credit kicks in for the oil company.

Yea it hasn't changed my habits much, clocked 16k on the bike this year, 30k on the car.

Last year did 35k on the car and 17k on the bike.

Ochoa, the price dropped significantly right before the election. It normally comes down after labor day, but this time it was a lot more.

Eddie Vedder was noting the Bush oil connection at Bonnaroo this year and everyone cheered. I love Pearl Jam but oil comes from everywhere and is traded on open markets which take into account millions of variables.

I really don't see how Bush alone could control much in the oil market. I doubt Eddie is bringing up Bush and oil in the same sentence at Pearl Jam shows now.

Eddie stick to singing and Ochoa you can stick to whatever it is you know.

It really amazes me how much Bush is blamed with. I'm not claiming to be an ardent supporter but I do think he has been pinned with way too much shit over his time in office. Sensationalists.

This happened because he wouldn't own responsibility for his actions.

For a retard, Bush is pretty damned crafty.

He is able to manipulate global world prices, but he can't complete a sentence?

C'mon, you can't have it both ways.

Amazing.
I started this thread to point out something good in these depressing times, and it immediately turns to politics and finger pointing.
For the record; my wife drives a Chevy Cobalt that gets 37 MPG, my pickup is parked to save gas and we both ride Buells. Nobody can accuse us of being gas hogs.
Now, then; it's 58° F this morning! I'm going to ride to work! There's something else that's good!

Crusty,

It was 30oF and sleeting here in Kilgore, Texas this morning. But on the way home I filled up the little truck for $20 at $1.499 per gal.

Right R.T. now that we have a break, now is the time we need to start strong exploration and drilling program. If the liberal congress put a stop on dilling it is just a matter of time till we are in the same mess again.
