You must be miserable.

Please seek help and hide your firearms until this is resolved.

Seem's like you have been extremely patient. Acts like an electrical short or ground. I know some bikes have had the wires rubbed through under the seat, If you haven't already, check that. My I suggest you open a dialog with Court? For those that have conducted themselves with class, and it appears you have, he's been extremely helpful.

I wouldn't touch this one with a 10' pole. Frankly when you open the case with "I've already contacted the DA's office and all the local television stations" all of my resources are of no value.

Just like the construction business the moment you introdcuce the word "attorney", "lawsuit" or "litigation" you have elected to close the door on ALL traditional customer service avenues and have chosen to go the litigation route.

Nothing I can do, he needs an attorney.

Thanks

I missed that one...where did he say that?

I don't know if it would make a difference, but he was calling Harley CS not Buell CS.

Besides the issues, I love the bike and I know this isn't the norm. Put me in contact with somebody that can actually do something and I'd be happy to tell the Attorney General's office and the television stations that Buell resolved the issue. I just want a bike that works.

Buell Customer Service: 1-414-343-8400

Anyway, my guess is that your bike is overheating. Takes you about 20 minutes for it to get too hot, then it goes into skip spark mode when it intentionally misfires to cool off the engine. Could just be the temp sensor.

When did you say
"I've already contacted the DA's office and all the local television stations"
Are you not giving us the WHOLE story?

That statement has turned anyone off from helping you. I know it is very frustrating but why did you not bring your problems here before 18 months and contact the DA's office and all the local television stations before contacting the members of BadWeb. Also why HD customer serveice and not Buell. You did buy the Buell XB12SS not the Harley Davidson XB12SS correct.

I don't post much but browse a lot and Buell's CS is by far the best I have ever herd of.

Hope things work out for you.

im betting the ignition pickup wires have a bad connection in on eof the plugs. my bike did the same thing, took a week of wire tracing to find the problem out.

Sorry dude- that sux, but believe me and everyone else on this board- a well-sorted Buell is the most fun you can have on a streetbike.

Machines are man-made, nothing is perfect- that said, I've got over 23K miles on my XB9SX and besides the basic service routines, the only things gone wrong on the bike have been a broken throttle cable and a broke clutch cable.

+1 and then some for Buell's customer service- not every dealership "gets it", but the primary Buell company approach is very proactive. Good luck!

I am blown away. It's a motorcycle, not rocket science. The dealership should tear it down and figure it out.

Option 1 - I would extend the warrenty and keep bringing it back with a TV crew everytime. I would also post the story on every motorcycle board I could until it was fixed.

Option 2 - I would extend the warrenty and take the bike to a different dealership. the warrenty is good at any shop right?

Option 3 - I would camp out in front of the dealership with my broken bike and talk to every potential customer until the dealership resolved the situation. a small paper handout with the whole story would be great to give people as you are talking to them. (might have been easier this summer) I threatend this with a ABRA Collision center when they failed to fix my car under an insurance claim. The situation was resolved in 1 week.

Additionally, I would have made every effort to bring the bike to the 25th Homecoming event.

The breakdown here is once again an example of crummy service. To everyone who is about to talk about how other brands do the same thing, save your your breath. Instead spend a few minutes on telling me why that is acceptable?

Its not acceptable, i would have had them in court by now! or a new bike!! +1 buell cust service not HD service
+1 on temp sensor my 01 x1w was doing the same thing changed the sensor and its great now. How come the dealer cant find the problem they have a break out box and the scanalyser, they should be able to pinpoint the problem even if it is a short. Sounds like a bunch of slackers at that dealer i wonder if they even have a scanner?
