I know it is in here somewhere, but I cannot seem to find the answer. I want to replace the grips on my M2, but do not know which ones are of good quality. Also where is the best place to buy a set?

Steve:

I have been favorably impressed with the gel grips offered by Tat, Maria and Melanie Marcy at American Sportbike - a long time Bad Weather Biker's Website sponsor and excellent people to be in contact with.

If you want to go factory, the Traction grips are pretty good. Haven't had any complaints with mine, had them on for roughly 4000 miles. They eat a good bit of vibration too.

I really like Gran TOurismo grips . . . got em through Dennisk Kirk . . . they are slightly thincker in the middle than at the inner and outer ends . . . .shaped more like your hand than gripps that are the same cross-section across their entire length . . . .

however, grips are likely the most personal part on your scoot -- I'd encourage you to try as many on for size as possible before spending any dough (granted, they are net expensive, but you're gonna be spending a lot of time shaking hands with these things)

Been running the Buell Traction grips since June and have no complaints about them at all.

I like the Buell Traction grips. They are on my M2, and I just put them on my wife's XB9S this fall.

Bomber: The Gran Tourismo grips are slightly "thincker" ??? Fess up, are they thicker or thinner? Is it the "n" or the "ck" that doesn't belong? Inquiring minds want to know.

I've got the Traction grips on both the XB (a MUST for that riding position) and the Blast. Very comfy, eats vibration, look nice, relatively cheap...etc.

Spidy has them on MJ (or at least, he did until this current rebuild!) as well.

Oh, BTW:

I don't know about the Buell grips, but I really like Gel grips. Any thickness, any pattern, any color. You get the idea. Eight USD a pair. YES!!

There seem to be some gel grips up for auction on ebay. Any Buellers out there bought a pair and used these grips or something similar?

Funny - I have the Traction and I have the gel - the traction is the better grip - perhaps the contour , -

Ray . . . er, the GT grips are slightly thicker (like my noggin, it would seem) in the middle . . . kinda barrel shaped, which I like .. . . I've been runnin em for years on a number of different scoots . . . . anything else seems strange to me . . . .

I would promise to owrk on my board typing (grin), but it would be a lie
