Hey Sleez, I haven't been on The Badweb for long but I do know that there are some good eggs here and I'm pretty sure they have your best interests in mind and wouldn't give you bad advise. I honestly have just cashed in my second 401 and did indeed blow it on dumb $hit. If you think something that will bring me an immeasurable amount of joy is dumb $hit. At any rate I should probably explain my circumstances a bit further. I will own my house outright in less than five years, I am unemployed because I choose to be, I actually do freelance heavy construction and probably work between eight and sixteen weeks a year wich is more than I want to but I need to come when they call or they will stop calling. My insignificant other has a full time federal government job that pays next to nothing but she has health bennefits and a retirement. I am 42, like you will be in a few hours (Happy Birthday). I can spend like an idiot because I know that my son will inherit a house that is worth a pretty penny. I am also betting that I don't make 65. There hasn't been even one family member that has. Hearts that explode on one side and the big "C" on the other. Do I want to be like all my aunts and uncles and work my whole life and then die before I get any of the money that I could've pi$$ed away on fun stuff ? Hell no! So in conclusion yes I am an idiot and spend damn near all my money on stuff that would be considered by most to be stupid and immature. But, I know that my son will have something worth having when I'm gone and so will my girl. I also know that all the money I blow on dumb $hit is blown on stuff that puts me and my son together. He is a Bueller too. I hope this clears up my irresponsible spending habbits a bit. Did I mention I'm picking up my brand new Ulysses early next week and bolting on a bunch of expensive stuff that I don't need ? Stupid...yes. Fun...yes,yes,yes !!!
