Hey Bartimus- those two words ain't Happy New Year, either. Newfie; yeah, I've got the driveway cleared, but there's still way too much snow and ice on the streets to even consider riding. Boy, do I hate winter. Tripp, you're on the Cape; you guys got off lucky. Up here in Central Mass. we got buried. It could be worse, though. Up in Essex County(near Gloucester & Ipswitch) they got over 35 inches. |

35inches of SNOW - HOLY POOP - thats like 88.9cm of snow. WOW, I have never experienced that much snow up this way in one storm. The most we have had over the past couple years is 20-25 inches. Even though two winters ago we did hit the record books for total snow in one season at 651cm or 256in of snow. Good Luck in digging out |

To all you people whining about cold weather, snow and the inability to ride at this time of year. You may or may not have chosen the action to live where you do but you need to live with the consequences. Or move. Personally, I never go further north than Daytona between October and April. I rarely ride in temps lower than my age.

i got as many days in as i could before that snow hit, i was riding in 40f weather and it was fine for like an hour or so, i was doin that almost everyday till the snow(and salt) came. i was really tryin to get as many miles as possible to break-in my engine rebuild, got in about 800 miles between halloween and the snow(all back roads for only an hour and a half at a whack depending on the temp).oh well, i'll finish the break-in come springtime. |

char, having some good riding during lunch break. not too bad at 55-65 during midday. Haven't been riding to work lately, though. too cold in the morning at 38-40. one bike at work and one at the house works pretty good this time of year. if you can't rent an xb at baton rouge hd, i might let you borrow the s1. tim |

Florida in mid December: 16 bikes took part in Lakeland HD/Buell BRAG monthly ride today. Temps in the low 70's. I hope we have this kind of weather in late January when DaveS makes his annual pilgrimage to Orlando for the dealers' meeting! Frank |
