I really would like to see some pics of the Dark Horse Products from Skully, I have been having no luck at all getting his site to open on my machine... it just won't open without killing the windows... I have a 12R in black, any pics of these produsts installed would be helpful!! TIA!!! Craig |

Only had them on 2-3 weeks, then BAM!, we're sliding. Yup worked like a charm, quick to clean up afterwards on the lathe too. Keith rocks and so do his sliders. Z |

Yeah, I hate to admit it, but I have tested Keith's sliders as well. Headed north on HWY60 the weekend before MB-V, I hit a little gravel, and down I went.

I've tested them as well. Did exactly what Keith said they would do. (No post crash pics)

Ft_, it is the old Diamond Highlight pulley from Buell. They don't make it anymore but American Sport Bike had one when I bought it from them. I had no idea Dark Horse Moto had one in the works. |

I had no idea Dark Horse Moto had one in the works. Keith said he was working on one. The one he showed me was gorgeous. |

That may be it. I found a picture in my bucket. I can't remember if it's Keith's or not, but it is stunning:

It looks like an unpainted version of the one Glitch posted, so that looks like that might be it Curious if it weights less than the stocker or the one I got. |

He and I had talked about color anodizing options. I'd love to have one in GOOOOOOOOOLD! Or black with gold accents. Either way, it is a beautiful piece. Keith has a real talent. |

Curious if it weights less than the stocker or the one I got. It's lighter, that was the hard part I believe. |

Guys, Thank you sincerely for the interest and all of you who posted photos, prices, and kind words. You are the reason we keep going. It's certainly not for the pay. The original idea came from fellow BadWeBer Keith Korbin (Kedo). He sent us a sketch that we took and modeled in 3D CAD. We then had to figure out what loads the belt applies and then use state of the art finite element analysis software to optimize the design. Thanks to the help of a good friend and incredible structural analyst, we were able to get the weight below that of the OEM pulley. We are using a stronger alloy than what can be used in the cast OEM pulley. The pulley is a result of a year's worth of design, analysis, manufacturing, and real world testing. We built four prototypes which are on four Buell XBs and have thousands of miles on them now. I refuse to sell something if it's not perfect.
We finally cut a PO to a fellow BadWeB supporter (whom I'll name as soon as the deal is closed) for the first production run. The plan is to let the purchaser pick an anodize or powder coat color that suits their particular bike. Keith |

Last, but certainly not least, Karsten Farley (Buell_41) volunteered his considerable CAD skills and helped develop the original geometry. Keith |

Chip - I should know the answer to your question by the end of the week. We are ironing out the final details with the supplier. Tom - the pulley on Keith's (Kedo) bike above is Cherry Bomb Red and it is stunning! Steve - we performed analysis in both ANSYS and COSMOS. We wanted to be positive that we had reliable results sot that the prototypes would perform as planned. They are. Keith |

I can't find the photos, but the sliders work great for (ahem) tipovers. Especially the axle slider which saves the swingarm from scratches. My Guzzi came stock with stainless bar end sliders. Hope I don't have to test them... |
