I have a good friend I worked with who just recently returned to (I believe) Mumbai. He wished us a happy thanksgiving, so I suspect he is OK, but I have not gotten an email back from him yet when I asked how he is doing.

Our prayers and best wishes for the victims of terrorism everywhere.

Several Indian citizens took bullets protecting Americans in the hotel... I've worked with a lot of them over the last few years, and they are good and smart people. And brave. I'm glad they are allies...

I'd take an Indian over a Paki any day. Those Paki's favor mercury vapor and fluorescent lighting in their homes, which I find gives the house a sterile and unfriendly atmosphere.

That's an accurate statement. One of Buell most gifted Engineers, and my former weekly lunch partner, came to the United States from India and is an amazing person who I am honored to know and have learned much from. You can see him in the photo from the recent Time magazine article.

I pray for all those innocent victims. No one, regardless of race, creed or religion, deserves to be the victim of violence.

I was in Mumbai last March and visited (but did not stay at) the Taj Hotel.

While I found the juxtaposition of extreme wealth and extreme poverty in Mumbai overwhelming, everyone was very nice and very hospitable to me.

Some of them have become friends of mine and I am glad to report that among the many people I met - none had a personal connection to the attacks beyond the effect on their city and country.

I was in India last week. My Wife lives near Mumbai and had we not gone to Goa we may well have been at the Taj hotel when the terrorists attacked.
