Anyone know what the wind chill factor is if its (34 f @ 135mph is?) How cold is it now? And how long till your arse is frozen to the seat only wearing Levis! |

I was told long ago that the magic #'s are 30/30/30, at 30 below zero F. & 30 knots wind, exposed flesh freezes in 30 seconds. colder, faster... still 30 sec. Aprox 90 F. below wind chill. That only applies to dry air. At 30 below most moisture is frozen out. In Siberia they have freezing fogs where entire platoons of Cossack cavalry were frozen, horses & all where they stood. The temp. transfer is lots faster with fog or wind driven rain. |
