Well I just gotta vent this thanksgiving I saw some of the worst driving I have ever seen.We drove from northwest Jersey into northeast PA on the way out 80 west was your typical free for all every available space must be challenged for. Then we go up to my Mothers eat had a wonderful dinner. We left to come home at about 9 pm. As we left my mothers a car is litteraly on our bumper and deer ran across the rode .The guy locks his car up and almost crashes then we start down the mountain to get to rt 209 a car is coming up with a car right on there bumper trying to pass on a mountain rd at night with ice forming. Then the piece de resistance we have the high beams on playing the click up and down game as cars approach we see lights coming click down then nothing what? as we hit a left hander I see an interior light on upside down about 10 yards in the woods SHIT I tell my wife let me out pull over down the road about 40 yards a little pull out. I am dreading looking in the car but now I have to I lay on the ground look in and hear is a guy laying flat on his back trying to stuff something in the viser I go round the car and see his legs sticking out they seam ok no real blood I am in disbelief there is no steam no smoke no sparks. I grab my cell phone no damned reception I flag a guy down he's a local he calls ambulance as I am talikg to the guy some broad bombing down the hill almost headons the guy I am talking to and I have to jump to get out of the way the broad almost then goes flying into the woods all because she was rubberkneckin on a mountain road at 50MPH!!!!!!Then a young broad comes up behind the guy who is helping me and starts blowing the fing horn cause the car is in the way. The guy who makes the call comes over with me he wants to climb in the car I say I wouldn't do that the guy in the car seems fine he is moving but not answering us he seems to be doing something Then He climbs out and I smell BOOZE and he can hardly stand up. FLLLUUUUCCKKK I look at the guy and say your on your own pal and walked down to my wife we got in the car and left.As we were leaving The police were coming down 209 I smiled to myself good for that bastard if we came down that road 20 seconds sooner that drunk would have crushed us |

I am glad to hear that you were not hurt, holidays seem to bring out the best and the worst in some folks. I go to my mom's at Christmas I 95 is much the same, I started driving on US 17 for that reason. |

I saw one yesterday moments ahead of us at 55mph, a pickup heading southbound, veers across the southbound lanes through the median and across the northbound traffic, through a ditch into a cornfield. When my wife highsided on the Blast years ago, I had my bike parked on the shoulder facing traffic with the headlight on hoping to slow oncoming traffic around the curve we were on, some guy in a small red Ford came flying around the curves with a trailer and didn't even slow. The inconsiderate. They are everywhere! |

Driving home from Fort Myers to Tallahassee this morning, traffic on I-75 was pretty heavy. Just north of Tampa, I was in a pack, in the left lane. All of a sudden I saw some tire smoke from two cars in front of me, and brake lights all over the place. I stepped on the brakes, saw the car behind me was not going to stop in time and swerved to my left into the breakdown lane next to the guardrail. That car ended up hitting the car in front of me. There were three cars that hit each other in front of me, and two cars behind me. If I hadn't seen the tire smoke in front and the fact that the driver behind me was inattentive I would have been a link in that chain. I'm glad I wasn't on the bike, because I don't know if it would have worked out so well. The ABS on my truck activated, and there was some gravel in the breakdown lane that I swerved into. It could have been a lot uglier if I were on two wheels... |

Jersey drives suuuuuck. Notice that your plates are yellow just like caution signs. coincidence, hmmmmmm... not so sure. They are warnings for the rest of us. However most of the idiots you encountered that night were probably PA drivers. Glad you are all right. I got into it with as hasi on the palisades friday. They were all out this weekend. |
