There are a few here that know this already, but I've taken a transfer with Deere and am moving to Kernersville, NC in the next few months for work. Heather will be coming too, ready to start a new, exciting assistanceship with the Kernersville school district in guidance counseling to finish up her masters degree, and hopefully will have a full time job with them when done. Dubuque has been a great home, but the move is a great opportunity, and the weather is going to be great, lots more roads to romp on, home (PA) the mountains and ocean are much closer, and that feller Ferris who has gotten me into so many adventures is just up the road. I'll be having a house-going away party in the next few weeks if anyone in the tri-state area wants to swing by for some good food and drink (stay the night, we're not riding here anymore), and I'll definitely plan a shindig in NC once settled with a house and ample party space. So, looking forward to seeing FB&D, Carlos & Kristi, Pat & Twig more, and getting to know the rest of the C3 gang!!! This has been in process for a while, so happy it finally came together!!! Hi Alex. Good deal! I know you and Heather will enjoy living in K'ville. And you will be 20 minutes closer to the mountains than we are. Real close to some damn fine riding. Hope too see 'yall soon. |

Right in the midst of those C3 types, close enough to associate with those 3%rs. When you add in the BRP factor, that's a lot of influence. I think it's a good thing you're bringing your own counselor with you. Sounds like a good fun deal all around. Rotzaruck! |

Alex, Glad to hear the move is coming together. Hope you guys find a place with a big ol' barn and close to or on one of the twisty roads. Lemme know if you need any help moving or a stopover place during your move. The door's always open. JB2 |

You'll love Kernersville. I lived on the west side of Greensboro for almost a year in 2006/2007 and loved the area. I had to move back to Florida for personal reasons but if I had the chance, I'd go back to Greensboro in a heart beat. Friendly people, pretty land and a decent local economy. Plus if you go north of K'ville there are some great roads to ride. Moving to Kernersville is a good decision. You will be happy there. |
