Iamike, I was right there with you I actually turned the volume off for a minute because I wanted to be prepared in case that happened. Then I said to myself, "surely someone wouldn't do that in a video like this!" Anyway, I enjoyed the post as well. I even sent it to my family to remind them to just slow down and live life. Thanks for the video! |

I enjoyed that too, and sent it on its way. And yeah, I was initially waiting for the punch line too. |

Puts life into perspective. No matter what is happening around us, we need to remember that God is ultimately in control. (Message edited by jumpinjewels on November 20, 2008) |

God is ultimately in control. So why is there evil, famine, injustice, natural disasters, et al in the world?} |

So then God isn't in control, if we have free will which means God can't control us then how is God infallible? What about natural disasters? |

Spidey's a devil's advocate? WTF? Where's the hope, man? I fall into the clockwork belief, or whatever they call it. God (supreme being, whatever) set up the universe, laws of physics, etc., then flipped the switch and let it run. Things like acts of nature are just a part of it. While He/She/It may still interact with the elements within (at His discretion), the system as a whole continues to run as originally intended. ~SM (Message edited by Swordsman on November 20, 2008) |

god, God, FSM, Jaweh, are INFINITELY intelligent. As such, he/she/it/they can control INFINITE detail. Think of it, the moment each cell divides is under divine control as well as the position of each molecule/atom/subatomic particle at any instant of time. Thoughts and actions? TRIVIAL! I think people are comfortable with the concepts of the divine as a micro-manager. |

Here at work we put balloons out on the cars. We control the balloons by the strings. Sure the balloons blow around in the wind, but since I still have the string in my hand I can control the balloon form getting away. |

The fact that you THINK you have control is only a divine construct. |

Control is control, If I have a Lion in a cage who is free to walk around the cage doesn't mean he is living like he would in the wild. I am sure if I let the lion out of the cage he would eat me... |
