There are a gazillion places to go to NOW, diluting things that much more may not help matters...

...now getting Badweb's software upgraded and a bit more user-friendly? That'd be cool (but I'm not volunteering)

We're on myspace, but it's nothing to write home about. When I searched for Buell stuff, a lot of weird, unexpected groups resulted, but there are a few Buell folks out there.

Buell Motor Company does have a facebook page though, if anyone is into that.

I'm new to the whole myspace bit. I think our page is kinda groovy lookin', but I haven't really had time to surf around and meet up with folks on myspace.

I'm much more, well, comfortable here. : ) Besides, if someone has a real technical question, I'd have to think they'd come here. It's REAL hard to find actual info on myspace.

Wouldn't want to live there? ; )

It's growing on me. At least, I've gotten better at my html and css coding.

those self regulated places are too easy to turn into haters r us.

to put signposts on them to here or the official site is a good idea though.

Myspace is indeed an interesting place : ). It's not really a forum like here, but it's fun and you get to meet people from all over the world.

ChelleM I've sent you a friend request! I learned about html coding putting my page together too (though it's in need of an update now!).

If any other BadWebers want to send me a friend request feel free - http://www.myspace.com/lemonchili

HOW could you confuse the badweb with yoyodyne? The badweb, AKA the Bonsai Institute, with the fearless Buckaroo Buell-guy at the helm - rockstar, brilliant engineer, and the rest...

Isn't that to what you referred? ; ) Oh, wait, were you talking about motorcycle parts then?

My husband's got a bunch of Reverend Horton Heat CDs too. ; ) I think I saw that on your page...not to many folks around here have heard of him!

Thanks for the friend-up!

I see myspace as my.... "expression" page ; ) I found the background searching around photoshop, hope you like it! It really does need an update, a lot of pics I had on there have gone missing, and maybe more of a Buell presence is required.

Rev Horton Heat rocks. That man can play a guitar! I guess that's the other thing about myspace - I've found heaps of bands I wouldn't have heard of otherwise.

Do they let you use people's music??? Youtube is starting to delete posts that use music without a license - MANY people had videos taken down because of copyright issues. They have a list of "free" music.

One of our racers re-posted his racing video with a piece of "authorized" music as a kinda/sorta protest... Funny actually

"Do they let you use people's music??? Youtube is starting to delete posts that use music without a license - MANY people had videos taken down because of copyright issues. They have a list of "free" music. "

I believe, though I could be wrong, that one of the original objectives of myspace was for musicians like myself or Gary's (Jimduncan69) band Sometimes5 to be able to create web pages, and for that it's ideal. Anybody can create a page and upload music that they hold the copyright to, and you can allow other myspace users to add your song to their page.

What started to happen was people would create fan pages and upload their copies of there cd's. Myspace have started to really crack down on this in the last 6 months or so, and pages created with unlicensed music seem to disappear pretty quickly.

But most established bands have myspace pages and allow you to add their tunes to your page (great marketing for them). I change mine on a regular basis... alternating between Nickelback and Rev Horton Heat and Sting and yadayadayada... : )

I've dabbled in MySpace and YouTube in order to test posting various surf music and motorcycling related videos.

You can find me on YouTube by doing a search for "la1sparky" to see surf bands and sidecar videos I recorded. The sidecar stuff is from the 2008 October Griffith Park Sidecar meet that got shut down by the authorities for attracting too large of a crowd!! Can you believe that?

And on MySpace, search All Myspace for "darryl hawthorne" to find my site with pix of me on a Firebolt along with a couple of surf band videos that were a lot of fun. This was my first attempt at posting videos from my camera.

Hey for those of you who have checked out the liberty buell myspace page, what do you think? It's only my 3rd page, and I'm trying to walk the line between professional and still cool. It's a skinny, wiggly line and it's hard to stay on. :P

THANKS for the friend-ups BTW! Gotta get out there and do the online meet-and-greet bit. In my spare time...

Not sure it will work. If not, then they're listed under Buell American Motorcycles. I'm a fan. ; )

There is actually a place call www.BikeSpace.com that is exactly that. It looks like it's partially abandoned, we could easily assimilate them easily if we wanted too.

I think you've got the balance pretty good - not too corporate, but not too casual either.
Slide show is cool, but I'd add some more pics or more written stuff for people to read while waiting for the slide show. Blog is nicely written : )
