http://thekneeslider.com/archives/2008/11/14/buell -produces-125000-motorcycles/ " Wednesday, Nov.12, 2008, at 8 a.m. central time, Buell rolled out their 125,000th motorcycle, a 2009 white 1125R bound for Australia. That’s quite a ways from a company turning out a handful of motorcycles in a Quonset hut and old farm buildings. If you build a product people like, you succeed. Congratulations to Erik and the entire team of Buell employees. Nice job." Congrats Mr. Buell! |

Didn't they just roll out the 100,000th less than 2 years ago? That's quite a bit of growth in two years. |

From the back of the invitation to the event - November 17th 2006 The bike rolled off the line at 11:15AM Shot in the morning sunlight about 6:30AM in Erik's driveway the following morning Interesting deal but some folks offered a LOT of money for that bike . . . Erik's response to "will you take $100,000 for it" was "All this bike is getting is 100,000 miles" and he was out the drive with it. Bike recently returned from a 7 state tour to Montana covered in mud and bugs . . . that's the way it sits today. |

From what I've seen, Erik isn't the sentimental type. Why have a bike that you don't plan to use for its intended purpose? That's just a waste of a good bike. |

It would be really interesting to see a graph of units produced vs. time. It seems that graph would be taking a steep climb about now. |
