Just got a message on the answering machine from D. Ferris is out and the surgery was a success. It lasted a lot longer than anticipated(6hrs) and took 34 instead of 17 stitches to zip him back up. Spidey, You have any Screech left, send him some. Jerry, Last summer a good friend's dad tripped and fell over his cat in his house, struck his head on the coffee table. He is now learing how to walk again. Glad you weren't worse and excellent the surgery worked. Torment Spidey for some Screech - you will feel good. Sip it straight with a little ice. | ||

Hey thanks everyone. Just back from the hsp for a bit - it will be great to tell him he has so many people cheering him on - he needs the support right now. The plan was to send him home today but after a more extensive surgery than planned (37 stitches to repair the rotator cuff versus I was told 17 for a "normal" and a 6 hour surgery) with now uncontrolled pain, he will be spending at least one more night.  But he is one tough guy. Hang in there sweetie! I'm counting on you. | ||

Jerry and Denise, I've been thinking of you two alot the past months, imagining beautiful crisp colorful scenery on some magnificent roads back there... NOT PICTURING THIS!!! Sorry to hear of your mishap - heal well, heal fast (and you take care of yourself too Denise!). We're hoping to draw you out here for a very special event next fall (would have been this year but too much going on). At least at least you picked the right time of year to do something like this. I guess now I'll have to picture a warm fire, some Baileys (or ??) to offset any pain, reminiscing about past rides and dreaming of future ones... Y'all take care! Joanne | ||
