The video is on their web site. So that means who ever is watching it already has interest in buell. If for the first time or already owns a buell. That video is a teaser for the rest of the site. Buell knows that the majority of the people looking to buy their first buell already own or have owned a UJM. They are looking for something different, better. That video shows buells are built by people for people. Gives buell owners and future buyers a sense of family.
That video looks like it works well for its intent.

I think it sucks, and I'm way over 40....
...and I played a video game only once in my life, something called "pong" in roughly 1976 or '77.
That being said, Raceautobody's statement:

....clears up a lot of loose ends.
That Vid looks like a goddam HR training vid from the 1980s or '90s, and seems incomplete with out "Eye of the Tiger" playing incessantly over those cliched pics.

I didn't think the actual riding shots were that bad (there were some in the vid, even if they weren't as flashy as Tramp wants them to be. However, Tramp's idea about the SOUND of a Buell would be a great addition. Those riding shots need the roar of a 1200 at full throttle... hell drown out the music for a second or two. Then end it with the thumping idle, fade to black.... yeah, I could dig that.

Iam 30 and I liked the commercial. I think the music selection and the video drove home the idea of not going with the latest trend.
I dont see what the big deal is. Great clip. |
