When's Homecoming going to be this year? I have to put in my Vacation time soon, and I need to know. Otherwise, I'll have to give Homecoming a miss and maybe ride to Newfoundland instead.

I think the 26th being an off year, so to speak, they'll (HOG) drag ass on getting it together.

I would guess some of it might have to do with the economy going forward into 09. A lot can happen, in that respect, between now and then.

She's no longer there.

It will be a splendid event, likely in June/.

Well a bad sign for Buellers but it was a great career move for her. She's joined Leslie and a host of other in "Women's Outreach" (I've been reaching for years) within Harley-Davidson.

Laura did a stellar job while assigned to Buell.

The position is being filled and there are a bunch of new names and some of my favorites have recently returned to Buell.

I'm looking forward to it.

Although she was OK. She stands not a candle stick to Leslie. With AMA changing.... who knows??? Buell might be involved in a bigger arena. Then again classes are also so who knows.

Actually Laura did a spectacular job of throwing a party the likes of which no one at Buell has ever seen or imagined. She managed to get folks from many countries all in the same place at the same time and effectively raised the Buell bar for events.

What amazed me about Laura and the job she did at Homecoming was how smoothly everything went. I used to work in production (live theatre, concerts, special events), and to integrate that many people, and that many venues, so seamlessly....wow.

Best of luck, Laura - and come visit with us at Homecoming! : )

It is a very good event. Laura and her helpers did a great job. Getting a bunch of Buellers to do anything at the same time is an amazing coordination effort.

Lately, I have come to realize that these things do not come together overnight and require a lot of support and dedication from many people and organizations.

Of the Buell specific rallys I have attended in the last few years it was the best. Lynn and I were worn out at the end of everyday. She still talks about me being a kid in a candy store when I was out looking at all the bikes and talking to all the people.

I anxiously await the release of the next Homecoming Dates.

Court,

How did she manage to get out of country people here??? The internet did that I'd say. I think Laura did a great job. But I feel Leslie had a big challenge getting us together when in the day of the tubers. There was way less of us. Remember Homecoming 2000 and I'd say that was the biggest turnout prior to the 25th. I still have the magnet picture of a good part of us sitting, standing and even on roof of a semi trailer.....good times that was. I also know how it is to get large group's in one place.

I'd love to see her as an honored guest at the next Homecoming. She was able to do some fabulous things for Buell and played a pivotal role.

I can't speak for Homecomings pre 06 but Laura and whoever else was involved did a spectacular job. To give up one's holiday weekend and do so with such enthusiasm is above and beyond. I don't think I ever saw a frown on her face the entire event. She will be missed - not everyone has that level of energy or commitment.
