Must be the high school and college interns working on the Buell stuff then. Who else would come up with a promotion of "one size only" and try to justify it by adding that you can use it as a rag if it doesn't fit.

Oh man, grinch-itis is settin' in already.
Must change channels....

Then why isn't the Buell apparel as good ?? Why can't they make those nice black sweaters that say across the front Buell and down the sleeves too, instead of HD ??

And the jackets, the Buell one's all look like they're made for men only, yuk !!

I find lots of HD stuff I like, VERY little Buell's women stuff that I do !

CJ,
Didn't you just order some StepChild and 3%er patches? And now you ask this? Think about it, if you were head of the MotorClothes department, what market would you cater to, the 97% market with a history of 99.9% of your sales, or the 3% market with less than .1% of your historical sales? (Ignore the fact that a lack of merchandise will have skewed the past sales data, "if you don't got it you can't sell it", and just think about it from an insider's view.)

Buy what you like and just rip off the offending or disliked decorations and have your own sewn on.

Yep !

And now you ask this?

Yep !

if you were head of the MotorClothes department, what market would you cater to..... the 3% market with less than .1% of your historical sales?

Well I wasn't thinking that way, I was thinking only of me, me, me, me, me !!!!

Buy what you like and just rip off the offending or disliked decorations

Well those really cool sweaters with HD on the sleeves are sewn in such a way, rip it off and you ain't gonna have a sleeve left !!

and have your own sewn on.

Geezzz, I just figured if your making the product anyway, can't they just substitute Buell for the word Harley and make a few extra !!

I'm not asking for much just 3% of the apparel they do have look nice enough to actually buy and wear so I don't look like a stepchild wearing the stuff !!

Not like I'm wanting a leather "boost e yea" or something !!

CJ

"Geezzz, I just figured if your making the product anyway, can't they just substitute Buell for the word Harley and make a few extra !! "

Vanson can, Harley can't. Simple really. And on the sleeve thing? Sleeves are over-rated anyway, just rip the things off. ;)

"Not like I'm wanting a leather "boost e yea" or something !! "

You do realize that when you mention H-D woman's clothing, that is exactly what most people think of, the short short shirts with the low low tops and the way-undersized fits with bodyparts busting out allover. (Threw the busting part in there for Dulorb from the other thread. ;) ) I mean, you read the reports from Hal's Go-Go Extravaganza, what do you think were the biggest selling items that night? Motor oil or leather undies?

I think I'll depart now before I go and get myself into all sorts of trouble.

Californians- Your worries are over! Shirt arrived today. Just in time as the wife said I had to put something on cause I was scaring the kids. Particularly bad cause the kids are in their 30's. Thanks Buell! (Maybe some choice of size next time?)

I can confirm Californian’s were not a victim of bias, I got mine today also. Would have preferred blue lettering though. Funny how we all whine impatiently about free things! Will test it out tomorrow.
