Wow, looking good!

My '09 XB already needs some personalizing. I just brought some bolts inside to dry after painting the heads black, I had removed my passenger mounts and the silver bolt heads just didn't look right. I also have a new cheese grater that needs a chop (me or Special Ops), reflectors being replaced with black 3M reflective tape, XBLights taillight with a smoked lens, and Aprillia mirrors. Next I'll be looking into getting a black fuel cap and 1125CR optional bars.

Weird. I've already started on the Buell too.

I fixed the scratches in the frame, then repainted the frame, rear sub-frame, left air intake, oil cooler cover, front fender, and lower fairing the same metallic orange that the air box cover and fairing are. Gabe had taken a chunk of paint out of the fender while he was 'helping' change the front tire. The lower fairing suffered from adhesion issues from when I initially performed the flame paint. I gave up for the weekend, I sanded through the sealer and forgot to recoat. When I sprayed my base coat it reacted with the old paint and wrinkled. I only had to touch up the one spot, I figured I'd do a second base coat tommorrow (already wet sanded first base coat), then while it's tacky, I'll hit everything with clear. I'll have pictures then.

I'm kicking around the idea of changing all the Amber colored stuff to black.

I picked up a spare XB12 pipe that I'm sending to Spec Ops soon for mods. I'm on the fence as to whether I want to polish the header or just wrap it.

All of this is cosmetic to make it more marketable. I think we're going to pull the trigger on a Uly, or maybe an Electra Glide.

I know it's the race bike and all, but you may want to take that apart and bake that subframe at 150-200 degrees for half an hour. That Dupli-Color paint doesn't really cure to the hardness that will resist scratches without heat. If you have dry wall lamps, they'll work too. Since they're mostly dry, it won't stink up the house if you choose to bake it.

Edit: Found some neat glow in the dark clear coat. I want to repaint my helmet, paint an evil clown/skull on the top with the glow in the dark clear. In the day it looks normal, at night, freaky stuff.

I sold mine. Now looking for another one to race!
I was undecided for a while and jumped the gun. Oh well, I'll find something.

I don't do an off season. We usually only get ice and snow for about a two to three week period here. I won't ride it when there is salt on the road either.

Wolf I like the color. It will match the sparks that are generated when you "lean too far".

Just to clarify... It may be off season for racing, but I don't have an off season for RIDING!
