I dont think I would miss this, if only for the opportunity to meet you face to face...

Ditto. One of the reasons I am going. Tramp is a one person attraction . . . I can find fall foilage and twisty roads anywhere . . . but not with Tramp in the midst of it all!

See ya there. . . .

By the way . . . if I arrive and Tramp is sans coffee and donuts I take back everything I have said!

For those of you who are averse to camping, I've got a spare bedroom with 2 twin beds. I probably can't offer the nightlife of Mikestock, but the woodstove is burning, I've got a dry barn for the scoots, and some fine single malt scotch can be arranged. No cat allergies need apply though, I've got 3 nasty attack tabs (they are not allowed in the guest room though).

PM me if you need a place for the weekend.

From what I've heard, Mikestock, itself, is attraction enough.
For those of you who haven't had the pleasure, Mike is one hell of a gracious host, an absolutely kickass rider, and an engaging conversationalist.
Mike- Is it getting to be a year when we should look into porta-potties for Mikestock, yet?
Rich- I'll call you later, today- I'm always up insanely early, and then usually way out in the woods or under a hood thereafter. Today I'll be buttoning up my Explorer and finishing a gutter.
Chase:
Don't worry about the scoot you ride in on- you can make the run at any pace you like.
Take your time getting down here on Saturday, and arrive safely.

The focus, this year, is not on T-shirts or advertising the run, but rather on ensuring the run's quality.

I think all of us Hudson Valley Crew types can see this becoming a two-day event from now on, and we hope to make sure everyone's comfortable with having enough riding time to get their ya-yas out at their own pace, over two days.
I, personally, know neither of the 2 (sat/sun) routes too well, as I leave that up to the excellent folks who plan them.
Knowing these hardcore neighbours of mine, I can assure all participants of a great time, this year.

Anybody hear from Jeff at Danbury, yet?

The website, while lacking much of its past eye-candy, is up and running, and it includes links to Court's book on Amazon.

www.horsemanrun.us

We're hoping to compile mucho photos after this year's run, to keep up onsite, afterward.

Really looking fwd. to seeing all youze.

PS- When you click on the "Map" link onsite, switch over to "Bird's eye view" to get a look at Perkin's Tower, where we meet. In "Aerial View" you can follow the route in actual aerial photography.
Gotta love freeware, or, as I call it in my biological field work: "Virtual Trespassing"

No worries Tramp, I have been telling everyone about HH4.

I hope to join in on the fun, weather / work permitting.

If there is anything we can do to help, just let me know.

Pardon me . . . Tramp . . I've a question.

I've been watching this thread closely. Like you I am a long time student of the human condition with a keen sense, no matter how hidden from the eye, for cause and effect in this universe.

Tell me where any of the following deviates from pure fact.

You were charing along organizing this event. You, in fact, had gone so far as to stoop to luring me in with coffee and donut chum. I'm fine with that, in my own way I'm a carb .

During the entire time you alone were planning and orchestrating the weather forecast remained crap . . . . varying slighting but always crap . . . perhaps 80%, perhaps 90% chance of showers and so forth.

The other day arrives Z-Girl in the public eye, wrests control, fire off some post about being at West Point but, perhaps more importantly, convey she's going to be there and involved in this logistics.

The moment that happened, and again I urge you to mount your challenge to my empirical observation, the rain literally evaporated from the forecast for Sunday and it looks like the day will dawn as a spectacular sunny fall riding day in some of the most gorgeous area of the country.

You see where I am going here?

Tell me I am wrong . . . . but make damn sure that girl is there!

You mean Z-Girl, or the girl who need looser jeans?

One of the two, I know for sure, will be.

Weather's improving for Saturday's Hammertime run segment, as well!

Man's gonna have TWO days of leading the pack in all conditions.

split wood is stacked by the fire pit for the campers.
jp, as i guess you'll be the first one here, you'll just need some kindling, follow the gravel road thru the old train tunnel and there is plenty of wood around.
if the weather turns you can crash in the house or set up your tent in the garage. call me with an eta when you're on the road (845-401-8037), i'm tryin to get out of work early.

Just heard from a few COGgers (Concours Owners Group) who should be bringing their modern classic sport touring baggers to one or both days of HH4. The Concours is truly the Toyota pickup of the motorcycling world, with some pushing over 300k miles without a rebuild.

1. I'd prefer it if you would say that it is the Honda car of the motorcycle world.

2. You don't NEED to rebuild the motor if you're just PUSHING the bikes around.
