I just learned that if you take a full percolator and place it on the big burner, then go fill a 1.5-2 quart saucepan with water and 6 eggs, and place the aforementioned sauce pan on the medium sized burner, and set the cooking timer for 6min and 30 sec (as I always do for perking time), that if you wait for the coffee to start percing, and then start the timer, the egg water will start a rolling boil at exactly 5 minutes left on the timer, and as the timer ends its countdown you will simultaneously have perfectly boiled eggs, and good coffee.

I eat an egg cold for breakfast, and have the coffee over ice in the morning. Believe me if I had that before bed, my wife would lock me out of the house.

The timimg discovery was totally by accident.

You may have to adjust for elevation.

I do love boiled eggs though.

My wife pointed out a study that says people with excessive smelly gas may have lower blood pressure. She pointed out that I'm pretty fat, but in good cardiovascular health. This may be the answer...

She wishes I would stop lowering my blood pressure while she's around.
