The silence of a beautiful sunny day, was broken as the rumblings of thousands of bikes, cut through the crisp clean air, and drifted into every sleepy little crevice of the city. Colours blazed from every piece of chrome and plastic alike...and the people came. Lookers, owners, admirers, riders, dreamers...all those passionate about motorcycles. As the day passed, the buzz of the crowd grew louder. Fashion shows, retail therapists, food vendors, test riders and more spectators. And a great day was had by all... Morgan and Wacker 2008 Harley/Buell Open day-Brisbane/Australia. Half the fun was getting there    A few of the Buells parked up     and an interesting Harley  I got to try this one on for size, courtesy of owner Mitch...  Lemonchili tried out a few of the test ride bikes up for grabs  and a newbie for sale  but the turnout was amazing     More days like this would make the world a happier place I think V | ||

It was a great day, perfect weather, great start to the weekend. The day seemed to be very well organised, everything seemed to be running smoothly. Only real downer for me was the lack of new '09 Buells. The 1125CR still hasn't arrived here  , or the '09 1125R's, but I finally rode an '08 1125R, and took an '09 XB12R for a spin too (which I really liked!). 1125R is an amazing bike, but doesn't really pull at the heart like my X1 does... or maybe that's just because it's so quiet... Might need to see if I can ride the demo bike with the Remus pipe  . They had a couple of H-D XR1200's too, which looked nicer to me in the flesh than in the pics I've seen, but I didn't get a close look because they were always out on demo rides! cheers, chili |
