Anyone know what the going market rate is for an S3 frame? I'm considering selling the frame and bodywork from one of my S3's.

Not to worry, the engine won't become a chopper. I'm thinking this may be the cheaper (and funner) route to getting the S1W that I've always wanted. My problem is I don't want to be sitting on a frame that I can't get peddle.

Thanks for any input!!

Dennis

Dennis I can give you the number to the guy that did my bike and you wouldn't have to tear it all down to do.I think he may still have the jig to do it.

Dana....I already spoke to him about cutting the frame. He wanted $700 to do the deal. I figured a frame would be cheaper and safer. I have all winter to finish the project.

Thanks anyways:)

Dana, If you get a chance run through eBay and check out the "2002 Buell 1200 S1 Frame." What's that all about?

Dana....I'm not saying the guys doesn't do awesome work. But if I can get an S1 frame, I know I have a frame that hasn't been cut or modified.

When I bought the license relocator from Kenny, I asked about the frame. He mentioned that it was more work than he originally expected. He also said that the only reason you got such a great deal is because he quoted you the price in advance. If Kenny could do the work for the same price you paid, I might be more willing to go that route (less work, less cost).

Good news I think

I've found an S1 frame and the project is offically off the ground. Actually, I have a line on about 3 frames right now. My determining factors now are price & color.

The next step is to pull the motor from the S3 frame. Then I'll be sending the bodywork off to the painter and rims out for powdercoating (maybe) for some colorization.

The last step will be reassembly and road test. And all of this in 4 months. Should be a piece of cake.}}
