I recently noticed an oil leak on my Firebolt. After looking into it, the leak was coming from the rocker box on the rear cylinder. The bike is still under warranty untill the end of this month, but I was not sure if I wanted to let the dealer work on it. I decided to go ahead and use the warranty in case it turned out to be more than just gaskets. My appointment was for tuesday, so I dropped the bike off on monday afternoon. Wednesday they called and said it was done. When I went in to pick the bike up, they gave me the paper work showing what was done, and that was that. The warranty covered the bill, and all it cost me was the time it took to drop the bike off, and pick it up again. With some of the service nightmares that people run into, I just wanted to share one that went well. I love it when things work the way they are supposed to. Imagine the luck of having the leak start just before the warrant ran out. I am quite happy. |
