last tuesday i had my spinal fusion surgery. The surgery went really well. the doctor was so impressed with his work, i thought he was going to take the after surgery xrays home and put them up on his fridge. I did end up having more spinal fusion done than anticipated. Originally L5-S1 was to be fused with a new spacer inserted. But, on the morning of the surgery the doc. said that fusion of L3 thru S1 needed to be done and three new spacers inserted. Kind of like when you take your ride in for brakes and the mechanic says, you are going to need new rotors and calipers as well. I told the doc lets do it, and 5 hours later i was a new man. So right now I am sitting around healing. Tomorrow I get the 30 staples out. Then more healing. | ||

Awesome news Steve. It's nice to know the doc is pleased. Sure beats you waking up and hearing whispers, and the doc saying "oopps" Heal well! |
