Here are a couple of shots take from the back of the pack that came up on DJ's accident. He appeared to be in good hands and this wasn't the best location for a two-up dismount/remount for a short-legged Uly rider and passenger.

lol Neil, I was in North Carolina (or somewhere) at the time with New12r :P

DJ heal up! This is what, 2 in 2 months? Perhaps its time to take up cliff diving or bungee jumping; you know, something safer : )

A big hats off to Oldog and Kristi for sacrificing their afternoon to help DJ through his tough day and to Carlos and Webe for waiting to help load the bike.

It is a great thing BadWeB people do for each other.

Major league bummer DJ, but like others have said, if it hurts that means your still alive!
When you are ready, post a list of parts you need.
There's many of us with spare stuff laying around.

Heal quick buddy!

I talked to Danny and Jim this afternoon on their way to Columbus. The plan was to drop Danny's bike off at his house and then deliver him to his Mom's house for a week or so. He says he'll be well taken care of and also get a good amount of ear bending.

Here is a link to the pics I took. The video will be added later. Sorry I'm not embedding the pics here. It's faster if I just send a link.

DJ, all my best! Look forward to seeing you at the next Suches event.

Here is a link to the video of DJ and the paramedics. DJ is clearly in a lot of pain but handling it like a real trooper. It's a solemn reminder of the benefits of ATGATT.

DJ = don't know you (yet) but I can certainly sympathize. Get well soon, try not to cough or sneeze (trust me), and like the others have said - great to see you in gear, and don't worry about the bike.

Take care,

He got home safe and sound but not with out incedent

The silver streak arrived home OK but about 5 mins tward his Ma's place the trailer started an odd dance / jerk routien

,!@#$%#@$%^ trailer wheelbearings were dry ( borrowed trailer )
we wont talk about I85 /I285 in Atlanta traffic

DJ things happen for a reason huh?

Dan had to make a bunch of phone calls
to help me find 2 sets of bearings, He stayed with me and provided his tools for the trip ( just in case! ) when He would have been much more comfortable, He got home ( ma's ) about 12 midnight,

We won't go into me having to ask him repeatedly to sit down and rest,

Heal well Bro,, We will catch up soon, and BTW thanks for the note by text, it capped another long day well for now, worry about mending and thanks for a blessing we had an adventure!!
The ride in northern AL today was interesting and may provide possiblilities for new twistys

A big Thanks goes out to Huglysses Buddy Matt,( who's user name escapes me ) Matt was with me most of saturdays the retrival processes, manning the phone helping me with directions and "Stupid" the Lost GPS

Matt, the run Home was a waaaaaaay too much fun,

You are welcome at the tree house any time,
Remember what I said about the tires and the other junk too.

Well from the porch at a Cheap hotel near Agusta GA

So glad to hear he's delivered safe and sorta sound, Oldog! I was curious as to whether he'd ended up riding up there or hauling and how getting back was going to work out.
I can just imagine some of his Mom's comment's. (mine's a little outspoken about bikes and wrecks and stuff)
Both of you guys have always been around when I(and many others) needed patient advice and assistance. Glad you (and the others) were able to be there for DJ. I hope his Mom doesn't pounce him too bad for at least a day or two. Maybe she can contain him for a while. I can feel those ribs from here.
Nothin' like BadWeB!!

I won't forget seeing Dan, arm in a sling and broken bones a-plenty, climbing up onto the trailer in the dark to inspect his bike for damage.
You can tell the man has his priorities straight, lol.

Dan,
Take it easy, get some rest, and I'll see you back in Suches next year. Remember, I've got that shifter for you when you need it. Just let me know where to send it.

Matt's username is Guell. I hope we didn't drive you too crazy poking fun at your GPS unit...You are not here!

Thanks again Oldog for getting Danny home. You are a good man with a very kind soul. I feel very lucky to call you my friend.

I dont think we drove him nuts but it sure was funny with the gps, Kristi. I still laugh about it.

Hope Danny is resting up good.

It's times like these that you get to see another side of someone's personality. Under the circumstances, the ride back to Suches was fun and entertaining.

Hope you are feeling better with each passing day Danny.

I'm up amd lucid. I have to be brief, but I will be back to provide more details of my most excellent adventure.

I had a lot to think about when I got home and none of it was about motorcycles or the accident. My faith that people can be good and decent to each other has been restored and all I want to do is pay it forward for everyone that sacrificed for me. Not one person would accept one penny for the time and effort I took from their hard earned vacations.

There is so much more to say and so many people I would like to personally thank. I have to thank everyone from the BadWeb and I especially have to thank the Carolina Corner Carvers (C3) for bringing me into their safe harbor and taking care of me. Before I could even broach the subject, they worked out a plan to get me and the bike all the way home... I didn't even get a chance to ask for help... they told me the way it was going to be. Their concern and efforts gave me a lot to think about when I was finally safe and secure.

I'm sitting here crying because I'm not worthy of this kind of friendship and kindness from such special people. I will do the best I can to pay this forward. I have to prove to myself that I am someone who deserves the kind of special gift you people are. I apologize for not posting sooner and will be back to tell everyone of my reawakening and rebirth as a more human... human.

I love you all. Thank you so much... thank you all so very much.

Danny, glad to see you up and typing. and you are completely worthy of the kind acts that everyone there was eager to give. plus we all know if the shoe was on the other foot you would act just the same as everyone involved. although bringing you back to C3 central may have not been the greatest of idea's. "sure bring the guy with 8 broken ribs to the cabin where everyone is telling jokes nonstop" i am glad they had you well medicated or that could have been extremely painful night.

but anyway heal up quick buddy. we all expect to see you and your newly upgraded bike in march!

People come to Buell for the motorcycles, but stay for the people. I pray that never changes, no matter how popular the brand gets.

We have a reputation to protect here... : )

We have a weird family here, but I wouldn't trade anyone here for all the money in the world.

What I think is cool is that from what I understand about Erik, he embodies many of the same characteristics displayed by fans of his motorcycle.

Has Erik been able to sell a culture as well as a motorcycle? I like to think so.

Heal quickly Danny!

Danny- Glad to hear you're up and around. Nothing makes you appreciate people like being taken care of when you're hurt or sick. Kristy must be a heck of a mom 'cause she manages to be Mama to all of us when we're up there.

I know this will probably hurt again, but sorry about mentioning "Art Vandalay" Sunday morning...
