You are supposed to take the visor off the Arai Tour-X for the touring part and put it back on when you gets to the Adventure bit.

But mostly it just looks wicked.

Got any more pics of the helmet (without the visor)?

I've enjoyed mine for a couple of years now. I have no problem doing the ton with the visor attached. Just got to keep it pointed at the right attitude.

It is nice to be able to wear moto-x goggles under the visor in the spring when my allergies are acting up.

Yeah - I've had it for 18 months and never got around to taking it off before.

That is cool, got mine used and no plates for running without the visor though.

I have no problem with it at 100mph either.
Good neck exercise.

No plates necessary, just remove visor and replace the plate that is already there. Mine are clear.

Also there is clearance for the strap. (Oops, didn't notice the folded strap when I took the picture.)

I just got a Shoei Hornet (same basic concept) to wear when I ride the KLX. It's a great helmet and a good compromise between an MX helmet and a street helmet.

Yup, the Shoei is a good one too!
