Doug, one of our service writers for the automotive dealer I work for came in this mourning with a memento from the Superbike race yesterday. It seems a rider stopped after the race at the Corkscrew, removed his helmet, and threw it into the stands. It went straight to Doug's friend who after a brief melee held on to claim his prize. Maybe he will let me borrow it for Thursday's track day.

Yep, I knew he tossed it in the "stands" when he passed us between Turns 10 and 11 without his lid. Maybe he was thinking what he was going to do with this lid during the race, instead of focusing on the race at hand. Pretty cool from a guy who needs to do all the PR, IMO.
