If you remember recently I started a thread about my 10k service woes.

Well our resident Mud Bug came to the rescue by suggesting his sister dealership in eastern washington (Legend Harley of Wenatchee).

After a delay on locating back ordered tires, I headed over on Thursday afternoon to drop off the bike for a friday appointment.
When I arrived the service manager (Mark), and his techs we waiting for me. They were planning to stay late to get a head start.
Mark personally drove me over to the hotel, and even attempted to negotiate a better corporate rate for my room.
They went out of their way to make me feel welcome.
The next morning I headed over to check on the bike. They were nearly done so it gave me a chance to explore Wenatchee a bit, nice town with some of the friendliest people.

When I returned to pick up my bike the tech was out hand washing my bike (nice touch). After he was done he wanted to test ride my bike first, as I we didn't want any surprises on my long ride home.

Best part was the cost including the inflated cost of tires (I knew that before hand), hotel, food, fuel, etc... I still came out head (by several hundred $) by not having it done closer to home.

As a final touch early saturday morning Mark called me to verify I made it home safe, and to thank me for my business.

For once I have finally seen how a Buell dealer should operate.

Now for the bike. It feels like a totally new machine. Turns out my steering head was loose. That along with my poorly wearing Sync's caused my handling woes. The tech noticed my pulsating front rotor, so he removed and cleaned the rotor. It is a lot better, I figure next spring I will switch pads. It is nice to be reacquainted with the bike I originally bought.

For once I have finally seen how a Buell dealer should operate.

I've seen that on a number of occasions.

The key is to perpetuate it.

Don't forget the most important part . . . "THANK YOU".

No one thing can do more to insure they are there when you need them in the future.

Great read.

I've been blessed with both dealers I work with for parts and service. Hal's and Suburban Motors. We're really lucky to have good dealers in SE Wisconsin.

SWEET!!!! Finally gonna get a good showroom for the toys!! I have always had great service from those guys and will continue to take my bike there for stuff that I just don't want to mess with. And if any of you are in town on a Sunday during the early or late summer they always welcome the company (Sundays are a bit slow there when the tourists aren't flocking in).

Mark showed me the blue prints for the new shop. I personally think it is too large. I wish them all the luck, but what they are building belongs on Florida's coast.
He did mention HD provided lots of "easy credit" to get the ball rolling.
