Just an FYI here it is already posted in the Knowledge Vault. Caution if you have an early 08 ECM and have it re-flashed at the dealer to correct some of the running / idle issues it changes it to the to the latest EEPROM / Firmware configuration and in fact it becomes a late model ECM which ECM Spy can not tune. I think it could be correctable if the ECM Spy guys can get the program to see and use the new firmware. If we can get that you could load the early EEPROM into any 08 thereby converting it into an early configuration and tune the bike. We fetched and saved the original early 08 EEPROM on Al's 08 ULY had the dealer re-flash the ECM then fetched the later version. We can read it and the map, but the firmware version has changed so we can no longer burn anything back into the ECM. So is there anybody that can get the program to see and allow us to burn to the new firmware version? I guess what I am saying is we might be able to get around the new EEPROM changes, by converting the ECM back into the eariler version. If you know someone that can help Al and I with this please contact terry@jtsperformance.com or Al at American Sport Bike. Thanks Terry |

I didn't know ANY of the '08 models would work with ECMSpy? There's been a good bit of buzz about the incompatibility going on around here already... ~SM |

Sword, Gunter dropped support for the 08's after the flashes starting coming out. The earliest 08's with the original flashes work fine. |
