One, do you know auto racing history? (even way back) Two... When the time comes and you are looking back over the history of Buell in the race industry, which "legendary" race car would you most like the history of a Buell motorcycle to resemble? Choose anything of course, but I was considering a few myself... AC Cobra (Shelby proving there's more than one way to skin a cat), GT-40 (Henry to Enzo - Screw you), 57 Chevy (If we build it they will come), Lancia Stratos (Just plain fast), Audi Quattro (Even a girl can make it go fast), Porsche 917 (New technology), Ferrari 312 (Old technology tuned to perfection), Williams-Renault FW-14 (Pinnacle of tech.), Corvett C5R (Domination), Dodge Viper (LOTS of American muscle), MG Mini (Europeans proving there's more than two ways to skin a cat), Mazda (Reliability/Consistency)... I thought of these in particular because they all have a legendary race history (Except the Chevy... It was more like the culmination of modern ideas that changed the industry) and I'm reasonably sure that a Buell of some kind will certainly make it into the same books. It could be argued that Buell itself may have already done something like the '57 Chevy did. Anyway, if you're reading and have a second... |
